Title: My first flying experience.
Post by: kvnpraveen on May 19, 2013, 09:52:08 PM
Bixler v1

Got a chance today to fly for the first time. Had a good time. I think it was a bit nose heavy. Can't seem to find a way to remove the washers that come with it as a weight in the nose. Hopefully I can remove them without much damage to the model. It flew very stable.

Finally I am very happy that I got some time to get into this hobby.

Cheers Guys.

Check the CG as per the instruction manual. Don't go by "I think it was a bit nose heavy", be sure before you tinker with the model

If need be, you can move the battery around to set the CG

Will do Sanjay sir. Quite windy today at the field. Will give this plane a good go until I get some flying authority. I already have some stick hours on simulator. It is quite different flying on simulator and in real world.

Yes I was thinking the same about moving the battery pack a bit backwards.

put all your electronics in a plastic bag and hold your models nose in hot water. The hot glue should melt and you can get the washers off. Thats what I did.
