I have started work on my FT Flyer this weekend but haven't got the time to put up a build log. I have not clicked many photos of the build and I have progressed quite a bit so this can't really be a complete build log. I just hope to share the procedure I followed and get some advice from other members. I am building it out of 5mm unlaminated Depron that I got from Ashok Sir (foamybuilder) locally. I got 5 huge sheets at 120 a sheet and hope to do quite a bit of building before school starts in January. The plans and build videos are available here:
http://flitetest.com/articles/ft-swappable-power-pod-kit
http://flitetest.com/articles/FT_Flyer_Scratch_build
My setup is as follows:
EMAX CF2822 1200 kv outrunner with 8x3.8 direct drive prop
Red Brick 20 Amp ESC
Avionic AV9A servos
I will update this thread later tomorrow as I will be out most of the day.

Thanks Sooraj. As for this night, I am feeling tired and I am going to get some sleep. Uploading photos from my phone and resizing them will take some work.
I will probably modify this post for updates.

Thanks for the wishes everybody. I started my build by prepping the electronics. I soldered 2 mm bullet connectors on the EMAX CF2822 motor (comes with a fancy RCMumbai sticker!). I customised the Red Brick ESC by removing the heat shrink and reduced the length of the motor wires to neaten up the connections. I put 2 mm bullets on the motor side and a Deans plug on the battery side. I then covered it up with 30 mm heat shrink from Indian.Hobby.Shop and put my custom sticker on it (made in Microsoft Word  Giggle )

Stickers were just for fun. It looked very plain just black and the other side has velcro for neat mounting. This is a picture of my firewall, made out of PCB copper clad board cut and drilled at a nearby fabrication store. One hole is slightly off centre but it does not seem to be a problem. The firewall is hot glued onto the power pod and reinforced with packing tape and a bit of fibreglass tape. It seems pretty strong, I pulled it and it does not seem likely to rip out

So I had actually completed and flown this several months ago, but I am considering either a rebuild or making a nutball. When i flew it, it was practically uncontrollable. It would randomly turn and dive. I guessed this was because of too much slop in my control surfaces. Is this correct? I am still interested in getting into planes so now I am thinking of a SkySurfer apart from building my own.

I built an FT Explorer recently. I need to complete the last stages of the build and then see if it flies or not. If it doesn't work out, I may go for an off-the-shelf trainer like the Skysurfer or AXN Floater. I'll probably have a spare 2205 motor soon so I may use it to build an FT Arrow as well.

TBH; nonsense plane.
even then; best of luck and post pics please so that if there are any faults; you can be corrected.
@ tanmay;
FT sparrow is too small and cant be flown properly outdoors.
The flyer couldn't be flown outdoors properly even.

Re:

Its small. Less AUW. More problem even due to light winds. The ft people magically do not have the tiniest bit of wind.
