Title: My new "High wing Trainer" Post by: manojswizera on July 15, 2012, 01:13:59 PM Modelers and friends .
Recently i have made a high wing trainer. the original plans are from rc groups . http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1281056 sorry friend the build log is not there, will do it next time. I have ,modified the plans a little for me. This is a very easy plane to make on. The custom dimensions of the plane are as follow. Wing span 50'' 7''+ 36'' + 7'' dihederal on either side. 2.5 raised. cord 9'' aelorons 1.5'' 12'' long horizontal stab 7.5 2.5 elevator. vertical stab. 6.5 long 7 height. weight 700 to 800gm approx. airfoil Kfm3 ( behaves very well ) power plant Cf2822 1200 kv motor.10'' prop. 1350 mh battery. i am attacing all the details of the plane , so that any beginner can make it. Few pics of the completed plane. Comments and suggestions are hearty welcome :) Title: Re: My new "High wing Trainer" Post by: manojswizera on July 15, 2012, 01:31:14 PM Dihederal
Cut the coro from the upper side ( not completely ) and made the dihederal . Inserted a small 3'' cycle spoke and glued it to maintain its shape and then wrapped with tape. as can be seen in the below pic. Airfoil The airfoil is a Kmf3 type. First step is at 3'' and second at 2'' . Put a small aluminium round rod. stick it with cyno and the placed a covering of packing tape. Other details can be seen clearly in the pics . Motor mount cut 2 small pieces of flex board , stick them together . Then place the motor on it , fixed it with screws . Cut a small hole in the flex board and inserted the aluminium rod in it and put some super glue at the junction. Tied the mount with Zip ties. Title: Re: My new "High wing Trainer" Post by: manojswizera on July 15, 2012, 01:38:15 PM Removable landing gears
Made the landing gears on a small peice of wood and tied with tape and zip ties , so that can be removed anytime i want . just by cutting zip ties. The pics can explain more then words so attached all the pics. The plane flew very well. sorry i am alone and noob also in flying , so cannot take the video. Thanks Manoj Sharma Title: Re: My new "High wing Trainer" Post by: spitfire on July 15, 2012, 01:51:23 PM Congrats for maiden!

Better you go for a pusher plane with such high rpm motor. Can i make the same like this ? How can i get a plan Pls help |
