Built a new delta plane with 3mm depron. Its around 1M in wingspan. Just has the winglets and no vertical fins. Am planning to put rudder at a later point, have just one servo left unused at this point.
Airfoil is formed by running a strip of 9mm on either side of the winghalfs and covering it with 3mm depron sheet.
AUW is around 450-500grams with 1500mah battery.

Have plenty of space to put the electronic. I can call this tata innova Cheesy
If this platform is stable I plan to use this for fpv, ofcourse using a different motor. Current motor used is some cheap motor and is severely underpowered(Ax-1800 series ).
Had flown this once, is a very slow flier.

Saw this beautiful plane fly last Sunday. it is extremely light plane for its size. Foamybuilder put a thin GWS prop on high Kv motor and the setup was screeching. hope his setup is updated now.
The plane was just floating around with throttle cut. Beautiful plane indeed.

@ujjwaana: Have bought EMP prop from rcd, but havent yet tested it. Will test with 7x6 EMP this time, atleast I hope it wont be underpowered.
@Rajath: It dint attract any birds this time may be because it gave a very irritating noise at high frequency because of prop setup as ujjwaana said:D
I am running out of servos, and these deltas are simple to build use only two servos and can do basic maneuvers Cheesy so am building only these nowadays

NICE..... the kfm airfoil that you have used, does it have a slight curvature or is it flatly stuck and whats the black cover, monokote or just plain plastic , awesome work

@Husein:I could say it is a combination of conventional and kf2. The conventional symmetrical airfoil is built till 50% of the chord.
The covering is done with packaging tape and wrinkles are removed with normal iron set to silk.

Guys there is one problem I faced when I flew it. When I hit the ailerons, it turns very lazily. Is it to do with the size of winglet? Should I decrease the height of winglet. please advise.

@foamy i think size of aileron is too small to deflect enough amount of air! according to basics in coventional aircraft if you are using strip aileron than size should be 1/8 of chord ! and for conventional (out board aileron) it should be 1/4 of chord ! for quicker response you need to increase throw!
in your case its purely swept back wing  (delta wing ) try to use 1/6th of chord it should work! hope that helps!
happy landing's Thumbs Up
