Will now move on to the wings. But before that, now i really need inputs from all members.
My 1st question : How do you cover the model(plz briefly describe the process and the materials required) after sanding to cover the minute pores which are formed?
My 2nd question : How do i effectively cut out the block of foam at the center of the fuselage so that i may put in the electronics? Thanks for your time and patience.

Hey that looks great. Did you fuse multiple sheets of depron and sanded it? that causes too much wastage right?
Where are you planning to put the electronics? Will you have a grove to place electronics?

Thanks ashok bhaiya. No, i didnot fuse multiple sheets. I had this 100mm thick block of biofoam, i just cut the shape with the help of a hotwire and then sanded it to get those rounded edges.
Yes, placing the electronics is my next task ahead for which i need help. I certainly need to groove out a chunk of the foam to get the electronics in for which i need suggestions on how to do it effectively.

Anyone with the answers to the questions!!!

1) You can use  colored packaging tape(wondertape). This is the best in my opinion as it gives both glossy looks and great strength to your model. You can also use paint- any water based paint, fabric paint, but it doesnt add any strength just looks!
2) Are you planning the fuselage compartments like easy star? You can cut  it in half by hotwire. I think you can make compartments by heating a block of wood of same size and pressing it hard.( Just try this on some scrap and practice. I havent tried this )

you can use vinyl sheet for the covering. these are having strength and nice for decoration of rc models.

putting electronics will be little tricky in there!!!!!
u may cut out some bottom and put ur electronics in there.....

or say cut it into half vertically make some compartment for electronics and motor as well...but i think u must not be willing to do this as it looks so nice...

Yes, i did cut the fuse vertically into two separate parts and took out the chunks where i plan to put the electronics and then glued the two parts back. It looks the same as outside and also has the much needed space for the electronics to be put into.

try to make some hatch or say opening from where u can have access to electronics....
may be from top, where u will attach ur main wing would be perfect place for this!!!! of course if the wing is removable!!!!

I ll just leave the top part of the space for the electronics open. During the flight, ill put the wing over it and tie it down with rubber bands. Will that work?

I just wonder, won't the vinyl sheets be too heavy if i cover the entire fuse with it? If so, is their another replacement?

Vinyl sheets are not heavy.it's just like stickers. you have to peel it. We generally use vinyl for foamy as well as balsa models bcoz of reflective and glossy.

You could try with color tape or thin color film for covering.

Long back. but your homepage perhaps a little bit bulky as always it opens up slowly with slow response (while Scrolling) even in my 2MBPS broadband connection (Downloading speed more than 400 kbps, uploading speed >144 kbps). Please be with us. Now we have plenty of materials. Styrofoam, High dencity thermocol, Coro, CA Glue, Electronics in Kolkata. Of course, those are not sold for modeling but other purposes.

Rohit, why shrink-ed into Sofa or relaxing after long sanding ? Cut with hot knife or bended 1A bend hot wire cutter for making space of  Electronics. But the space of pushrod, you have to cut in two pieces. What is the current weight of fuselage ? please dont throw the large waste blocks. They can be used for free flight gliders.

Take the 40V/5A Power supply from my office. It's in the office and cut the fuselage. You can take in absence of me also just informing in office.

What about the wing ?Thinking of using Coro or same foam ?

Well, thanks kalyan da. BTW i was watching TV sitting on the sofa with my fuse on my lap after having already sanded it. My sister decided that it was the perfect pose for a photograph and so there you have it.

Why dont you use the same technique as half cut fusulage with compartments inside and detachable wings?

@avishek : how do you plan to attach the push rods in your foamy?

I will attach servos near to stabilizers on fuselage. I left tube type hole at inner fuselage to pass the servo wire to the end of fuselage.

So, finally after a long delay, the foamy, RG1508 is complete, 10 mins of work remains on it. Everything is done except the painting, have decided to do the painting after the maiden, will post the pics tomorrow.

Alright so after 3 months, and a bit of hectic work in the last couple of days, I finally finished painting my plane and have got the final product which is ready for the maiden. It is a bit of Cessna 182 and 185 actually an average of both.

If I may be allowed to add 2 suggestions here:

1. Change the yellow rubber bands to black.

2. Get some (4) stickers cut from a car number plate sticker seller - VT - ROG and slap them on the fuselage sides and wing top and bottom. Voila!

Thick black rubber bands = Old scooter / bike tyre tube (available for free) + metal scale + sharp cutting knife = Simple!

I started constructing it since December last year... Named it as IND333
I made the wing span of 54 inches and total weight is 982 grams!!! Trying more and more modifications!

If you have really made this, no doubt, you are a master in craft, and that glue you use is the best!!

The motor I used is the 2212-10, 1400kv 140 watts. Well, my exmas are over and I have a two months long vacation.

The front wheel is basically, the landing gear of an old RTF plane that I have. I took out both the wheels stuck it together to make a single wheel and put it on the nose gear.

Well, I had these normal metallic screws lying down in my house, of about 2 and a half inches long. I used that.

For sanding you require lots of patience. I basically use two sand papers, 80 and 160 grit metallic grains. Stick that to a piece of wood or a sample foam block(which is what I did) and then just sand till you get the desired shape. For deep sanding use the 80 one and for light sanding use the 160 one. I just drew an airfoil shape on the cross-section of the wing and then sanded it accordingly.

Haven't measured the AUW.

So, went to maidan at 5.30 am today for the maiden. Hand launched it, excellent glide performance. Just that the day was too windy, I was really having a hard time controlling it, decided to land and save the model. Have a few cosmetic damages due to the hard landing, other than that everything else is fine. Waiting for a calmer day. Sorry, don't have the video, I took the video cam with me, but had forgot to charge it. 

Augustinev, could you care to elaborate how you determined this just looking at some photos?  The reason I am asking is that I cannot make out the difference and when I am into scratch builds, I think understanding this part may mean the difference between a crash and a safe landing.

So, I actually decided to put the 3 sec video that the camera did shoot before it shut down due to low battery  . Haven't been able to take it since, was busy with the extra 300. Anyhow, here's the intro with the 3sec footage at the end.
