ya  ,this music came because i allowed less space between prop and the foam ,

the awg of the plane is 500 grams and the ratio of motor and weight is 1:1

Dear Vineet
I see that you had once made an ezfly pusher plane .
What materials did you use for the build, what was the wingspan and what was your all up weight ?
I am planning to make a similar model for a beginner and planning to use foam sandwiched in 2 layrs of corro for the fuse and make the wings out of corro.

What would be your opinion about this plan of mine ?
Did you feel that you could easily incorporate ailerons in this plane ?
How was the gliding characteristics of this plane ?

best regards,
Dr. A Ghosh

Retreat, Hell!

Dr. Ghosh, I'd like to know from where you acquired the foam. I have an abundant supply of coroplast of all flute sizes. But coro planes tend to be heavy and I have to drive 7 Km to the Besa fields to fly those. I'd really like to build a small foamie for flying in nearby parks.

Dear Swapnil
Thank you for your reply and good to find another flyer from Nagpur.
I am currently in the process of importing some EPP foams to make some unbreakables for the flyers in my group.
Currently I have access to high density thermacol apart from EPS and some other industrial foams which if you carefully look around you can find almost everywhere.

The current project which I have in my hand is to build a slow flying not so heavy pusher glider for myself and another friend who have got back to this hobby after many years and are supreme DIYers. I never bought any planes and always believed in building them.

It will be good to catch up with you. It will be good to collaborate on building a small foamy which can be easily flown in cramped places in Nagpur.

best regards,
Dr. A Ghosh

Dr. Ghosh, I'd really appreciate it if you could share the exact source/ supplier of the 'high density thermacol, EPS and industrial foam' you mentioned.
I have access to huge high-density-thermocol boxes, but they are not the same as sheets of foam. There's a lot of flyers in Nagpur who are not members of this forum and who'd love to get their hands on some good flat foam.

I'd really like to catch-up with you and your club. I'm a proud DIYer myself (aero, robotics, programming and medicine(!!!  Wink )). And I'd surely like to collaborate on building a foamie. I'll pm you my contact info.
