This is my first post. I am new to RC Flying and want to get into it seriously. I just bought a Multiplex Easy Star 2 RR along with a JR XG8 controller, temp sensor, altitude sensor, battery charger etc... I have put all the things together as per the instructions. Aileron servos added and push rods connected. Rudder, throttle and elevators are working fine. There is only one socket for "AILE" on the JR Reciver, but since there are two ailerons (left wing and right wing), which one do i put in the "AILE" socket? Do i put the other Aileron plug into AUX1/AUX2? Also, for newbies, I have been told that i should not use the ailerons...so should i just disconnect those 2 plugs from the receiver? (As shown in the pic) and only fly with rudder, elevators and throttle? Please take a look at my set up....Please advise me if there is anything wrong with my set up....i AM DYING TO take it flying, but I want to make sure nothing is wrong.. How do I set up this receiver inside the cockpit? Someone was saying that one wire has to be straight and the other at 90 degree angle? Thanks for the help in advance. A confused enthusiast. If your plane is balanced then Rudder, elevator and throttle will do.

About the ailerons. a) not using ailerons - you should still connect the servos to an empty channel (5,6,7 o 8) on the reciever. If you dont then the aileron position could change everytime u handle the aircraft or while landing. The empty channel will make sure that your aileron neutral position always stays the same. b) Using ailerons - Since the XG8 is an 8 channel transmitter, I'm sure it will have a programming mode which means you dont need the Y cable. Mess around with your radio and basically program an empty channel(5,6,7 or 8) as a slave to channel 1(aileron) with either 100% or -100% proportion depending on your servo direction. This means that the slave channel will do whatever the master channel is doing. Servo on right wing will do whatever servo on left wing is doing.
