Title: New Plane - TechOne Angel Post by: Divyam on October 18, 2011, 04:26:39 PM Well I finally got the TechOne Angel which I ordered from Sai sir on Thursday! Just gone through the manual..
Here's the equipment I plan on using :- Motor: 2212 1400kv from Sai sir ESC: 20A ESC from Sai sir Servos: Emax 8g servos from RCD Battery: Not really decided. Any suggestions? Radio: Futaba 7c with OrangeRX receiver. All equipment sound OK? Will post pics later. PS: Its my 1st foamie. Looks pretty easy to build as all the CF comes pre-installed. Thanks TechOne! :D Title: Re: New Plane - TechOne Angel Post by: iamahuman on October 18, 2011, 05:47:48 PM Great!! School project eh?
Title: Re: New Plane - TechOne Angel Post by: rcpilotacro on October 18, 2011, 06:02:36 PM 1000 mah 3s , 10x6 i prop guess should be good for 3D , 2212 1400 should be a shade underpowered for a .9mtr airplane, nevertheless should 3D okay. All the best
Title: Re: New Plane - TechOne Angel Post by: ujjwaana on October 18, 2011, 07:40:02 PM Wouldn't 10x6 be harsh on a 2212 motor , spinning at 1400Kv on 3S with 20AMP ESC ? May be good on 2S, but 3S could be a bit dangerous.
Divyam, bring your set up at my place before powering up. We can put a Watt Meter and see how much Amps the Motor pulls. on 10x6 and 1400kV, it may go beyond 25+ Amp I fear. Title: Re: New Plane - TechOne Angel Post by: Divyam on October 18, 2011, 10:17:14 PM Thanks Gusty sir! I got a 10x6 prop from Sai Uncle as part of the set, and I just got back from RCD and got a 9x4.7 SF and an 8x6 SF prop. Hoping the 8x6 will be good for 3s. Very helpful staff at RCD! :)
Ujjwal sir: I will. I'll try and come tomorrow after tuition. Need to buy some CA from the hardware store close by anyways! :D I tried to get a 30A ESC from RCD but they were out of stock. Will get 1 as soon as possible. Gandhar, thanks man. Yeah its a school project! :D Title: Re: New Plane - TechOne Angel Post by: rajsigma on December 18, 2011, 01:39:50 PM I build techone angle i used
motor 2212 1400 kv rc for all esc 20a prop 8040 servo hxt 900 battery 1300 3s in its manual flying weight 400-420g with battery but my model is 490g with battery. In manual c/g is 3.2" [82mm] from the leading eadge of the wing. If i want to get c/g @ this point need 105 g weight to nose. what can i do now. Title: Re: New Plane - TechOne Angel Post by: Divyam on December 18, 2011, 01:42:42 PM Sorry, but I've not built the plane myself. Someone else may be able to help you :)
But as far as I remember, the battery should be under 1000Mah. Maybe the culprit. Title: Re: New Plane - TechOne Angel Post by: rajsigma on December 18, 2011, 01:50:10 PM Angel
Title: Re: New Plane - TechOne Angel Post by: akky on December 18, 2011, 01:56:17 PM the best prop for this is 1047 and dd9050.....i had been using the same motor with a 1000 mah 25-35c 3s
and 1300 mah 25-35c lipo hovers well but i suggest to change the esc mine weighs 550+ after so many repairs and mods the setup with this motor eats around 25-30 amp (for both the props).... this a great plane to fly ,,,,,... i still need a new one for myself...not in stock now i guess .now i got to know where all the angels went Title: Re: New Plane - TechOne Angel Post by: rajsigma on December 18, 2011, 02:42:44 PM @akky what about c/g you are adding any weight in nose?
Title: Re: New Plane - TechOne Angel Post by: akky on December 18, 2011, 06:25:28 PM i place the battery at the tip of the nose when using 1000 mah and a little back when using 1300 mah ....and a little bit of trims for adjustment as no use of adding dead weight
