But well as much as I would like to only dream of building this plane, it is not the case, hard to believe :giggle: but Teamnamibia and Shapumba Nauta actually happen to be one and the same person. Your tail moment arm seems small so large control surfaces are definitely required... Just keep the wing area / H-stab/V-stab in proportion... Vertical stab 50%-60% of horizontal stab. Now comes the control surfaces. So, please mention a few details of your model like wingspan, fuse length, wing loading, AUW estimated or approx., size of both stabs to get an accurate answer.
:hatsoff: Title: Re: Packaging foam Cessna Skylane Post by: teamnamibia on September 16, 2014, 01:04:56 PM My local supplier of Coroplast has not recieved a proper piece to date, that is why the build is taking so long as i have decided to build the wing out of Coroplast, but i will upload a few more pics from Different angles so that you guys see how the plane looks like. this will be my first foam curved build so i am taking care to make it look as eye catching as possible.
Went to the carpententer to get myself airfoil ribs cut out of plywood, will use this when cutting the Foam ribs out of packaging foam(with a hot wire cutter) and further covering with coroplast. decided to go for the Y Clark Airfoil, simple and easy to cut. |
