guys what was the total cost of your piper????

well the original costs about 6500 and the price i got it for is confidential  ;D ;D ;D ;D

and i just found a video

i like to call it

things a piper j3 cub was never meant to do

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ogua6Y8dC4I&playnext_from=TL&videos=mT3vdwOAvoU&feature=grec_index

i feel awkward seeing the video, why doesn't he just fly scale

oh and i would like to use sushil uncle's statement over here as it suits the video the best (somewhat)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b32zxCiReNA&feature=related

if you want to hover then go buy a heli

subbu

ps

but i do feel that the pilot has got some skill (actually a good amount of it)  ;D :salute: :salute: :salute:

ok guys finally the cub is ready for its maiden

what i god done today pushrods done for aileron and elevator (rudder done earlier for slow taxi test)

main landing gear and tail wheel mechanism done (actually day before yesterday)

went thought a critical joint using CA

motor thrust check #3 first time my connector were no good second and third time with the replaced connectors the gave me more than a kg of thrust

motor test --

2212/10 bl motor

10*4 3 bladed prop

3s 2200 and 2650 mah turnigy lipos

result

the pull was like hell how i got to know that ?  here's how (as i don't have a watt meter)

i filled it up with three more lipo's just to add weight and took it to the tennis court down here and did a half throttle speed check

it was running like raging bull it even took off just a bit enough to tell me that the power department was good.

i believe i will be gliding with just 1/4 of the throttle stick

installed the canopy fiberglass covers and

did slow taxi tests and it outperformed  every test i put to it

maidening it on Saturday here in kharghar on the large tarmac runway

just cable management left

will uploads pics by tomorrow evening or the day after as i have some other work left

so that was my report

oh and the flaps works super cool too

thanks

10*4 3 bladed prop
 thanks

subbu
[/quote]

I don't think that a 3 bladed prop look good on a piper cub
