Title: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: sanjayrai55 on November 30, 2014, 01:18:40 PM Matsumoto of the erstwhile Pilot Models of the OK Model Co. Ltd. of Japan is my favourite designer - and for a reason.
Anything I make from his designs - and this means I make from Corro, with a different weight, and adapt to Electric (in those days everything was Nitro) and they fly; beautifully. The QB 10 plans are available on www.outerzone.co.uk (http://) I needed a little sportster, the last I made was the Birdie 10. Here are some brief Specs.: Span: 990 mm Length: 735 mm Wing Area: 16 dm2 AU Weight: 850 grams Power: 2836-1150, 9*6, 2200 mAh 3S, 40 A ESC Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: sanjayrai55 on November 30, 2014, 01:24:42 PM I seriously doubted it could fly, looking at the heavy wing loading, and the little size. Should have known better than to doubt Matsumoto - when I die I will greet him in heaven and pay my salaams :salute: :salute: :salute:! (If he is not there, then you can do it for me in Hell )
It is probably one of the best flying models I have ever built, and, I have built a few. Nimble, aerobatic, turns on a dime like a wild boar jink, does everything!! Only problem: it being small and very very fast, I have not been able to get a decent vid of it yet. I think I have to read my camera manual finally ;D (http://s25.postimg.org/f1jlb80xr/P1030262.jpg) Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: maahinberi on November 30, 2014, 01:24:58 PM Been waiting for this thread!
Subscribed ;D Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: maahinberi on November 30, 2014, 01:28:22 PM That looks Nice!
Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: sanjayrai55 on November 30, 2014, 01:29:10 PM Heh heh Maahin. You better come soon to GGN! Each outing I fly 4-5 and Girish flies 5-6 sorties. In fact, today Girish did not take his models out from the car, and only flew the QB :giggle: :giggle:
Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: maahinberi on November 30, 2014, 01:31:28 PM I'll be there on the 11th.
Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: sanjayrai55 on November 30, 2014, 01:31:46 PM Put the decor only after it was about 15 flights old. Flew the same without ;)

Hahahaa, you should make one for him! Then atleast you'll be able to fly your own plane ;) Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: sanjayrai55 on November 30, 2014, 01:36:46 PM Great Maahin! Hope it lives till then >:D >:D
(http://s25.postimg.org/jei4tn9of/P1030265.jpg) I took a vid of Girish flying; Girish took a vid of me flying. Both the vids are abs crappy >:( >:( The one Girish took is a little better, with only about 80% plain blue sky (mine is 95% P.B.S.) So I'm uploading that, and will post when done. When Maahin comes we'll have a better video. Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: sanjayrai55 on November 30, 2014, 01:39:02 PM :giggle: :giggle: Hahahaa, you should make one for him! Then atleast you'll be able to fly your own plane ;) Today I was convincing him to do a low pass at full throttle two feet above the ground - inverted He didn't bite :violent: Else I would have got him to make 2-3.... in a mass production line >:D Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: aman1256 on November 30, 2014, 01:39:31 PM I WANT THAT PLANE LOL !!!!!!! >:D >:D >:D >:D :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: ;D ;D ;D
Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: sanjayrai55 on November 30, 2014, 01:46:41 PM Sure! Come and get it. But, only if you can fly it the way it has to be flown.
Immelman Inverted Axial Rolls Barrel Rolls Inverted Loops (Death) Spin Knife-edge These are the minimum ;) :D :D :D Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: aman1256 on November 30, 2014, 01:49:07 PM Oh My god Sanjay Sir now you have confused me LOL
Now I would have to thing atleast I can fly it in normal you know landing and takeoff and just keep flying it. That's possible LOL Regards, Aman Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: maahinberi on November 30, 2014, 04:50:54 PM Hehehe, if you're mass producing, then one for me as well ;D
Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: maahinberi on November 30, 2014, 04:52:21 PM Btw, what's the other plane I see in your car?
Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: sanjayrai55 on November 30, 2014, 04:52:40 PM Sorry for the Vid Quality :headscratch: >:(

Didn't fly the Bipe today. But did 4 sorties on the Zattack
Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: maahinberi on November 30, 2014, 05:59:31 PM QB10 seems like a fast and precise flying plane

I am back to the scene. No doubt an action packed model. Takes a while to attain speed but once there its a bullet. Master designer and a master builder Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: sanjayrai55 on December 02, 2014, 07:25:46 AM Please create more ruckus

Much better quality video! Between the 3 of us we finally have managed to figure out some of the features on my camera ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr4Hxx8YBWI#ws (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr4Hxx8YBWI#ws) Title: Re: QB 10, adapted to Corro & Electric Post by: sanjayrai55 on December 22, 2014, 08:19:43 PM (http://s25.postimg.org/nj2kzyn27/P1030890.jpg)
