2013 was amazing for a starch building.... >Cheesy
Built n flew FT Nutball and FT Flyer with the help of senior members.... Bow

But as per a senior flyer suggestion....I needed a trainer model to learn to fly ....
I need to learn as soon as I can so instead of building a model, I decided to buy one and learn to fly Drool

So after doing some research ....I decided to go for a AXN floater.

One of my friend from Chennai had a AXN Floater Air Frame (slightly damaged and wing tip cut).(attached the pics)..

I will be enforcing the model in the best possible way  I can think of, using 1/2/3 mm CF rods n  tubes.

Pic 1 > wing parts
pic 2 > damaged fuse....hot water treatment should fix it
pic 3 > fuse with the canopy
pic 4 > motor mount.

I have already have the following electronics

> Turnigy 9x  tx/rx
> 4X 9 gm servos
> 30 amps OEM ESC
>6/4 props

Now I'm confused with which motor I should be using for this model as the weight will be increased Head Scratching Head Scratching Head Scratching

Senior members please suggest a good motor for my model along with the source to buy if possible. Help Me Help Me Help Me

Awaiting help and suggestions Bow

Although I am not an expert but if the plane can handle a 6x4 these motors would be good.

get a axn floater motor 2150 kv. it can run on a 20a-30a esc
or get a turnigy 22826 2200kv motor. this ill give you enough thrust, but you may require a 40a esc.

Thanks for your suggestions nitesh and aniket,

however the motor mount on the plane is for 22 size motors....will 28 size motor fit in ?

@nitesh...I have 30 amps esc...so NTM 28-36 would probably burn my ESC

Today i started the re-building of AXN Floater..... Grin

joined the wing tips on both the wings using bondtite clear.

please note in pic 3 the wing tip joint has a little inward bump (marked in red)....will that change any major flight characteristics?Huh?

All the motor sugesstions above are too powerful and heavy for this model.

You need only a 2805 2200 KV equivalent motor with 4.5x4.5 prop on 3S or 6x3 on 2S and 18-20 Amps ESC for this model.
