To all my friends "HAPPY LANDINGS"....

Hi Guys,
I thought I will start another topic for Ramesh as he is building a new EPP aeroplane from sheets.
His new indoor flyer in 8mm EPP, called RT FIZZ is being built from sheets of 8mm thick 1mt x 600 sheets imported from UK..
He says once you have used this stuff, you will not use BIO PACK any more...
Can any one advise a source of EPP in India??
The plans of this plane were uploaded by me earlier here;

http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/slo-fly-micro/

Now this is what his progress is so far on FBK.....

Comments on images;
"U think it is thermocole sheet. Think again, it is EPP. see the next pic and u will realise what I mean."

"EPP - amazing, can bend to any angle. no cracks, no crease marks."

He goes on to say "Gonna replace all my 3 Depron planes with EPP , wing span 35in, 23in and 13in. Feel sad having to rip them, all fly beautifully. Infact the 35 in is a night flyier...

I have suggested;
"No dont do that Ramesh. Leave them as they are, just remove the receiver and offer to swap them with other aeromodellors with a set of brand new electronics per plane...ie a speedcontrol, motor, and 5x 5.5gms servos... what say you...."

6 Printouts total... It might be easier if you can SAVE THEM IN PC FIRST, THEN PRINT A4 SIZE... Have fun... building.

May I suggest re-inforcing of body with kevlar, ordinary thin fishing line or if none of those is available, a string cotton sewing thread laced with cyano;

Here's what one of the finished model looks like.....

RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

Bad (or is it "sad") idea ripping apart an already built foamie Sad    Better to barter with someone for something that can go into building a new one !

The story so far....
The RTFizz is made from EPP & Carbon fibre, which makes it very tough indeed. The large wing area makes it slow and stable whilst very aerobatic when you increase the throws.

In the pictures....The RT FIZZ with all the electronics that go into it, GWS 8x4 prop, yet to decide on Turnigy 2204-14T or Turnigy 3020-1200, MAG 8 - 12 Amps ESC, Flightmax Lipo 2S 500mAh, and 4 EM 3.7g servos 1kg torque .1 sec speed.
 "I just test fitted some stuff, CG on the dot, no wing shifting needed. using carbon control rods.

The body is 60g, the items that r in front of the flat out are 87g thats 147g, add anoyher 23g for push rods, clevices, horns etc, total may come to 170g. How am I doing for weight.Huh?"
