Notice a beep at the end. Didn't understand what was that for? & the ESC had also become quite hot. Had tested for just 2 minutes. Why did it become hot so quickly? The motor & battery were cool though.

Vikalp I think your ESC is of less AMPs than the motor. Thats why the ESC is heating up. Thats just my opinion. What do the experts have to say on this?

its 30A & motor requires 18A(normal) & 25A(burst).
other reason could be bad connection due to bad soldering?

Hmmm....
My soldering was good & strong. Is the motor+prop combination conduming more amps?? Motor requirws 8x4 but i used 8x5 prop. Could it be 'coz of increased prop pitch that it is pulling more power?? I have a 6x4 prop too. Will test with it tomorrow.

but you are saying that the motor is not at all hot, if that was the case then the motor also would have been hot.

HI mate.
you are running 11v ?
is the bec a switching beck or not? the bec on 11v may be getting hot just by reducing currant for rx,servos etc.
on 11v I always put a separate bec in as it save the esc getting hot.
