Live your dream and wear your passion

I just completed an attempt to make the smallest RC aircraft. This is probably the 'smallest in the world'! Cheesy
Wingspan- 6cm
Motor- 4mm coreless
LiPo-20mAh
RX- Scratchbuilt 2ch
Actuator- 120ohm
Prop- D1 drone

Weight breakdown
Motor- 0.45g
Lipo-   0.7g
RX-     0.1g
Act-    0.05g
A/F-    0.1g
Misc-   0.04g
Total-  1.44g!

The current flight time is about 2min. This is because I am using a very old lipo(undergone many cycles). Soon I will be fixing new one to get an estimated time of 6min!

 Thanks sir,
Already tried various props, lowering pitch will decrease the airspeed and ultimately result in a stall.
BTW, got the batteries I was looking for! Just arrived yesterday.

Nik, it's based upon the microchip's baseline Pic10f200 and 38khz IR sensor. Building it at such small scale is tough. If you are trying for the first time, try going for a bigger size. These tiny receivers are restricted to indoor use as they are based upon infrared technology.

i was just wondering, if there is a way to do 2 channel without microcontroller.

Thanks! Smiley
i was just wondering, if there is a way to do 2 channel without microcontroller.
IC's/microcontrollers are required to decode the transmitted signals. Without these, 2ch communication isn't possible.
However, to make a non proportionate system, IR receivers of two different frequencies may be used; Eg-38khz and 57khz(One frequency for each ch) Grin
Nevertheless, the circuit becomes complex and bulky, rendering no tangible use.

Throttle is used to control the speed as well as altitude and rudder is used for yaw. Thumbs Up

I agree, just for academic interest,  I was thinking of a low pass and a high pass. Since actuators are used I guess to just pass the pulse width info is enough or maybe not, passive components of filters may out weigh a tiny 10F
