This is the picture of the wing core of the Apple Box.... that of guppy will be cut tonight.  The center section has been cut to the aerofoil shape and the tip sections are ready for cutting.  The tip aerofoil templates have been glues in place.

I am waiting for to get some Depron to make my horizontal stabiliser and the tail vertical stabliser....or else will be forced to use Blasa .....

The fuselage is delayed because I am contemplating using Electric motor instead of my .15 OS Max

Am likely to be Delhi for a week for some work and would like to buy Depron there... can someone help....?

Regards

the rate of construction is a bit slow as I generally get time only in the weekends.... but here is the latest.... done today morning...
Pic 1.   It is the horizontal stabiliser of Guppy.... made from my home grown balsa... You can see the two elevator sides joined together at the center by a thin Bamboo dowel..... The other piece one can see is the elevator of the Apple Box.
Pic2.    The wing cores are ready.... Things yet to be added to these cores are... training edges, top and bottom hard wood spars and the Ailerons.... then reinforced be Fiber glass cloth and epoxy.  Once joined together two will be ready..... Hopefully by end of sunday should have added the spars and the TE.
Fuselage yet to be started as am waiting for my electric motors and Lippo to be delivered to me from Hobby King... will wait for one more week or else make place for .15 OS Max in the nose or Sharma 1.5 CC.
For you information that plastic scale kept on the Apple box wing is two feet in length...
Happy Flying

The wings have been made and covered with coloured tape.  Was initially planning to cover it with Vinyl sheet but due to paucity of time used coloured tape.  They have come out quite fine...  Here are a few pictures of the wing of Apple box being covered with yellow tape.

the pic did not come in the earlier post... ok uploading them now...
Te wing has been covered with yellow masking tape on the Apple Box and the Guppy has a red masking tape on the upper surface.  The fuselage have been coated with white Dope (NC based paint - Automotive paint).  One the required finish is given to the wing I will be painting it with synthetic enamel. to give a glossy finish....  Now I am just waiting for my servos and the electrical motors to reach me from HK and I will do the fixing of the electricals in a day or two.

well... here are the pictures of these models taken a day before the planned flying day..... The red one is a 5ft span Guppy... the plan for this model was enlarged by me from a net download.  The yellow one is a modified Apple Box (Sharma Models) i.e. with ailerons..... both have an electrical motor to power them......
Will post pictures of them in air after the flying tomorrow....
Happy landing... to you all.
