Has anyone tried home made steerable front wheel landing gear for delta planes?
I had tried once, but some how I had chosen wrong material for landing gear and it snapped in the hard ground. After that lost hopes.
Please attach pictorial diagram of the designs you have so that I could get some idea. Also one more issue is during landing, servos tshould not take any  impact. I need to do with my cheepo servo  Smiley Need to add to this plane http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/my-new-delta-wing/

Hi,
I have seen the foam you have used in your Plane. It would be better not to use Landing gear as you would need to put plates of ply attached to the landing gear. Even then the chances of the foam cracking is high. You better make landing 'Keels' out of EPP Foam for landing.

If you are bent upon a Landing gear with steering, you would need  wire landing struts , wheels and Steering arms like :

(RC Dhamaka stores Arms like these, I was not able to search their site though)

Your servos are on top, why do you feel they will be affected ?

Even if they are at the bottom, many people have been using half shells of "Kinder Joy" chocolates etc.  Guess you can use the same on the top also.
