Hi!

Has anyone here built/is building a Steve Shumate designed model? Specifically, the F 14, F 15 or the F 18. I would love to hear from them.

Cheers!

The silence in the forum tells me that no one has ever built one of these? These are full 3D Profile models designed by Steven Shumate, for electric BL motors. Plans are available free.

These are pictures of models available on the net and are NOT built by me.

I am just about to begin on a profile F 18 Super Hornet, and will then follow it up with a Shumate F 15 Eagle.

Regards,

VC

good looking jets! went through a couple of the build threads in rcgroups. Quite a bit of construction is required!  but i dont think they are called profile models..i think u were trying to say Full Fuse .?
these are profile models
http://www.parkjets.com/free-plans/category/profile

the f-22 you had built recently are profile type constructions..!

btw the parkjets site is very good.! there are lots of links to free jet plans.. steve shumate is also there.

http://www.parkjets.com/free-plans/category/by-hans-joachim
this is also a similar type of full fuse jet but a bit simpler to build than steve shumate.

That is EXACTLY what I meant. I am beginning to build a PROFILE F 18 Hornet and only AFTER THAT, I will attempt to build a Full 3D Profile Shumate F15 Eagle. Or should I call that a 'semi scale parkjet'?  Head Scratching

The Hornet will be similar to my F22 Raptor, only bigger at 41 inch Fuselage and 29 inch Span.

Cheers! Grin

Just downloaded the F 16, it seems to be too complicated ( Hope I downloaded the correct one!)  Let me have your email and I will send the F18 to you.

Cheers!

if its the one i posted well. actually that f16 is basically a profile type construction with bent foam attached to make the cockpit area and the full fuse. If u go through the rcgroups thread you will find it easy compared to steve shumate

wassup guys!Im glad you guys like it. Grin this is a 80% size so I was using a 1050mah Rhino 2s lipo, 3000kv 24gram blue wonder motor spining a 6x4 prop, and a 18amp supersimple esc.(all from hobby city)...as for landing gear it's better you don't put them because they fly a lot faster and better anyways the landings are always predictable.
