Post by: b4ggu on June 10, 2010, 11:41:21 PM
READY BUILT VITAS FOAM PARK FLYER OUT OF LITHUANIA;

Fuselage made of Biofoam (Depron sheet 3mm or 6mm thick) strengthened inside with SCRIM TAPE ( plasterboard joining glassfibre tape stuck to Depron at back with Fevicol type PVA wood glue). All control surfaces are bamboo bar b q skewers with epoxied fine piano wire Z bended at ends and wing is made of normal THERMOCOL strengthened with 5mm wide 2mm thick carbon flats at top (aprox 50cm) and bottom (70cm). Covered with coloured packaging tape.
Excellent very light aerobatic plane.
Tail plane is strengthened with Bamboo skewers.
Fin has two cocktail sticks as supports.
The whole plane is glued by PVA wood glue with a dab of hot melt glue here and there. Servos glued with UHU por.

All controls are home made, horns out of PVC electric trunking, aeleron rods are bicycle spokes flattened and a hole drilled to accept plastic clevis.

I would call this a true homemade plane. Lets see how it flyies.....

Hi Guys,

I have had a few very satisfying flights with Depron Plane Built by my friend from Lithuania, Retyras of retyras@gmail.com.

I share one of them with you..... I admire this plane so much that I have ordered another one in INDIAN FLAG COLOURS. The next one will have the Emax 2822 motor and will be much bigger.

Depron sheet built packaging tape covered in Lithuanian flag colours electric plane. 3 x 5 grams Hextronic servos.

Retyras will build a plane for you if you want to order it from him.

The secret technique is the strengthening of the whole fuselage with carbonfibre mesh used for joining plasterboards.

This plane is so strong and perfect for bashing about.

Powered by HexTronik 24gram Brushless Outrunner 1300kv Brushless Outrunner Motor.
Kv - 1300rpm/v
Max Load:  7.5A
No Load Current: 0.7A
Suggested Lipo: 2 cell 7.4 volts // 500mah gives me 5 to 7 minutes or 3 cell 11.1v// 1000 mah gives me approx 10 minutes
Thrust: 400g+
Suggested Prop: 8x3.8 but I like to fly slow so I use 9x4.7 or 10x4.7 GWS props  These are great little motors for the price. They are perfect for use on home made foamie planes from 8 - 16 ounces. They will take most of my foamies unlimited verticle. I use 2 and 3 cell lipos from 350-1500 mah and props from 8x4 to 10x4.7 on them.
Motor Weight: 20g
