Hello friends.... I have made two of these models till date courtesy Mr Gauravag at this group.  Both of them fly extremly very well and are smooth while passing through any flight manouveore.  I like to paint my models my way and name them the way I like... the first one was simply called speedster and the second one os called Ace.  I have done a small modification to the model by building a nose to it so that the entire battery and the Rx can be placed into it.  The underbelly hard wood skid takes care of the model while landing.....
Here is the picture of my second model... ACE... picture of the model while being launched.....

That front end improves the model's looks dramatically.
Perhaps the kit could include it as an option...

Satz.... such models do not need a rudder.... thats all... they may not performa  few aeros which need rudders but everything else is a piece of cake for this model....

Thanks KK.... just used 6 mm blasa for the sides and a 12 mm balsa for top and bottom to be able to make the lovely curves on my ACE.... Yes have asked Gaurav to add the nose but he wants to Keep It Simple

In Thrust, I Trust

Sir, could you please share some more photos showing the nose? Planning to build my Speedster soon and I love the look on yours. What paint did you use to paint it? and did you paint it before or after laminating?
Also, what motor and prop are you using.
Thanks a Lot.  Hats Off

Well.... just made the nose from 10 mm foam on one of the Speedeters and from a 5 mm balsa on the other  one.  Guess Balsa was neater, lighter and narrower.  The one shown here in the picture is the Balsa one.

You just draw it out on a piece of paper and cut it out as per your requirement... Have no drawing for it.

OK.... in the above picture I had used commercial thermocol to make the model.... so covered the wings with kite paper and thinned fevicol to paste it and then do a coat over it while it was wet. Allowed it to dry and it came out smooth and tough enough.  Then I painted the model with "fevicryl" coloues i.e. the fabric paints you get at any stationery shop.  After completing the paining.... I laminated it with normal transparent masking take of 2 inch width.  yes I did not use the metal spar as given in the kit.. I used a 12 x 6 mm balsa spar layed vertically along the length of the wing and another of spar of same size but just 10 inches in length to strengthen the centre section of the wing.

Used a NTM 2228 motor on one and an EMax 2210/30.  Basically any motor which gives about 500 gms of thrust to pull the model well.....  on an 8x6 prop.

Below are the pictures of the Thermocol nose on the speedster..
Best wishes...
