Hi guys have got coroplast but they don't seem to be nice the sheet i am having is not nice the thickness is 3 mm

I am planning to build my second plane from the sheet in the first picsas that is little hard and for supporting the other ones

Can you guys suggest me something good to build as a beginner I think to build the spadet as there are ready video tutorials to help me but the issue is that it is 64" I don't want it to exceed 35" so please help me

make the avispad, its its just like the spadet. There have been multiple avispad builds on the forum. Marking and cutting is easy. The wingspan is about 48" which is the width of a standard sunpack sheet. It is recommended that you make as per the plans first and then move onto experimentation with subsequent builds. Always helps and is rewarding.

but 48" will be really big as the plac I am planning to fly is very small

Yes. Why not?
You can build anything you wish to with coro as long as you are willing to experiment and not lose your heart if the build ends up being heavy :D

One factor (at least I consider) is available electronics. Depending on available motor/ESC I plan my build. Also the L/G, Prop, servos etc. But in my book the available motor/ESC decides my course

Using coro is very easy for beginners like you and me... you can always downscale your model tto the required size and build it....

But remember that keep experimenting with the buiding techniques on scrap coro before doing it on the big sheet... saves a lot of coro....( I built 5 fuselages of the avispad... each in increasing order of strenth and durability befor e sticking to the best one...)

Nitesh, you've been doing well at researching for stuff rather than being spoonfed. Please don't relapse. Kalyan sir has already posted the link to spadtothebone.net! Fish a little, it IS there. And it is a wonderful plane.

I was seeing the plan and reading some threads

why not try a plane with coro fuse and foam wings u will save a hell lot of weight just tape down the wing LE keep ws between 24-30" use UC for the first try then go kfm on the wings just a suggestion

Hello to all I have taken the printout of the plans of the ft flyer and have 3mm coro. So can I just start building with it or should I wait for 5mm depron double side laminated. Is it worth using depron as Sanjay sir reported some weight related issues.
I think the weight will be the same if I use 3mm coro or 5mm depron so should I go with coro. Yes or No

Weigh the corro. I have posted figures for Depron; compare. Do not presume

ok but don't have a weighing scale so I have to go to a shop and weigh it.

In that case, if you have the corro, just build it

Coro is good enough go ahead...

Take 0.25 gm/SqInch for a 3mm Coro. So you may use segmented triangle and square and can calculate CG and weight of that part and finally final CG only by simulation. I calculate before and glue weight will not change much.
