Hi every on RC INDIA,

I have a question and need your assistant. I am going to purchase a LanYu (TW-738-2) Soaring Eagle Glider from RCForall Chennai. It's only the Airframe no electronics parts are included. It's a 3 Channel Beginner RC Glider Plane.
http://www.picscrazy.com/thumb/SOARINGEAGLELANYU.jpg
What type of Battery to Use for LanYu (TW-738-2) Soaring Eagle Glider

ITEMS INCLUDED IS KIT [AIRFRAME]   ONLY

ITEMS REQUIRED;

1)Brushless motor 2212/10 1400kv

2)ESC 20AMPS.

3) SERVO 9GMSX2 PCS.

4)BATTERY 7.4 1300MAH

5)PROPELLER 9 INCH

6)TRANSMITTER 4CHANNEL WITH RECEIVER.

I have all the parts except the Battery. The Battery which is recommended is 7.4Volt 1300Mah, but i have 7.4Volt 850Mah. I know 850Mah Battery give me less flying time than 1300Mah Battery, but still is it going to work Head Scratching? Can i make it Air born Head Scratching? I chose it because it's cheap & it's cost me only 2,000 Rs. Can anyone help me with that? I talk with Bhuvana the owner of the RCForall, but she couldn't tell whether it's going to work or not.

I talk with bhuvana the owner of the RCforall, she told me that the kit comes with instruction manual and i can find very easily where the CG is in Glider. But from your point of view is it that hard to find the correct position of the CG on that particular glider? can you help me with that?

it's depend what what type of motor you use & "fall like a stone" that's mean the motor you chose didn't give you that much power the glider required, remember the plane around 560g weight with electronics

The motor mounting is from inside only....this is only problem for soaring eagle ....i given extra aluminium light sheet for mounting and bolted...while i flewn first it got c.g problem after i corrected and whlie flying in my feild there was heavy wind shown in that video...so model is climbing vertically...due to wind so it flewn like dat @ starting ..

@hindol29 - the motor was fine, the right wing broke in air in the maiden flight itself Sad

i do not recommend this glider for very windy place.

rcforall 2122 brush less motor is a great motor, i am using the same motor for that. but the problem is the motor watt is around 270. that's mean the torque is too high. as far as i found out flying the glider in a half throttle & giving a less input in elevator & rudder, it will fly the glider very smooth
