Title: Will My Setup Work?
Post by: Priyum on April 30, 2013, 08:24:37 PM
Hello guys i just built a scratchbuilt plane and wanted to ask you whether this setup would work or not.

Motor - 1534kv EMAX CF2812
ESC - 20Amps (2A BEC with 25A Burst)
Battery - 1850mah 11.1v 3s
Propeller - 7*4
Servos - 3*9g servos

Could you please tell me will this setup work as i dont want to burn up anything please.
And i have one more problem,My Prop Hole is bigger than the Diameter of my Motor Shaft so it keeps coming off, what could help me to fix it permanently(Some DIY Method) or if someone can please please donate me a prop adapter would be blessed by me.

Thanks AGAIN
Priyum

Use heat shrink sleeving on the motor shaft. Try & measure accurately so you don't overdo it

why don't you just buy a prop adaptor? i saw some guy selling 3mm ones on the forum itself...
yea your setup looks fine, the max current of cf2812, is 15A, so a 20A ESC should suffice....

See this chart for prop selection

Model  Cell Count  RPM/V  Prop  RPM  Current Thrust

CF2812  3S         1534    7X4  12250 10.5A   580g//1.27lb

                                  7X6   11000 15.5A  730g/1.61lb

Your ESC is fine. I suggest you go with the 7 X 6 prop, get more thrust and slightly lower speed

Thanks for your replies,
And doesnt battery capacity not the number of cells affect any amps?
And from where can i get such a datasheet?
