I have a 12volt and 5ampere DC motor. I am giving it 12 volt but it is shaking like a man got power shock. Undecided Is that because of less current 1.2amp ? I am giving 12volt and 1.2 amp. Please help Help Me Bang Head

Is it spinning, or just shaking??

if its shaking, probable reason is, it is just getting alternating current.Check supply

Information sharing improves knowledge of both.
If
   power is AC, to a DC motor, This happens.
Else
   check the rocker plate or brush holding assembly with respect to field magnets.
   Just adjust by rotating if brushes not worn out.

should be SOLVED.

It is Shaking!!!!. I am giving only DC from a battery 1000mAh and 11.1 volts. I don't know why its shaking ? ?

Information sharing improves knowledge of both.
Just loose brush side and rotate a little bit and fix again. It should work. The problem generated when brash axis shifts from magnetic neutral axis. So, use your mind, as we cannot see the end assembly.

May be you have rotated one of magnet,thereby reversing polarity.I can be a probable reason..

Just to be sure, you can spin the motor by rolling the shaft between your fingers. If its a case of misplaced brushes, you will feel the shaft catch in some orientation.

I never opened it. Its Brand new Purchased from Mumbai. Its high torque Metal Gear DC motor 12volts and 5amp current.

Yes its SS high torque Dc motor from nex robotics. 60rpm 109.20kg cm torque. Price 925rs.

I have some experience with these motors. Due to poor quality control, these motors come with improperly meshed or jammed gearboxes. To find out if the gearbox is jammed without opening up the gear assembly run the motor with a ammeter(or multimeter in current mode) in series with the motor. If the amp draw is more than 3A the gearbox is jammed or there is something stuck between the rotor(armature) and the motor can.
