Title: Aeolian C2826 brushless motor issue
Post by: vikalp11 on August 16, 2011, 11:50:47 PM
I have the Aeolian C2826 brushless motor (1350KV).
When I make the connection & try to start it, only the part on the motor from which the wires come out rotates, but the shaft doesn't rotate. I tries to correct it by interchanging the wires of motor & ESC, but in vain.
Has anyone used this motor?
There is a circlip on the shaft. Is that to be removed, so that the shaft can rotate?

Please help.
Thanks,
Vikalp.

What is that? Inrunner or outrunner ?

Just fix coil portion with fuselage and make free permanent magnet portion and fix prop with that.

Probably you have not fixed the base but fix prop. In site it is a inrunner one.

Just check the wire out from cut. I also confuse from pictures of RCBazaar where the wire comes out from the side of the rotor opening(?), and extended motor shaft & wire terminals are same side.

Does prop to be fixed with rotor body insted of shaft ?

these motors can be fixed in two positions..
1st- the end with wire fixed near to the fuse
2nd - the shaft end fixed near  to the fuse( this more requires a hole in fuse for the shaft pin too)

now both this configurations require different kind of mounts.... the X mount   used in the first config  (black colour with this motor)... then u have different kinda motor mount setup( i have seen it but i donno what it is called..)
this is the general setup... there is no issue with the motor.. if u cud post a pic or so.. i cud guide u better.. and  DO NOT TAKE OUT THAT CLIP... if u already have please try to fix it as it was before...

I clicked the pics.
Please let me know whether the setup is correct.
I am using a 8x5 prop, but the suggested one was 8x4 prop? Will this difference create any problem?

Is this the right setup of the motor+prop?

the motor should do.. but for jet it advisable to use higher kv motor .. something like 2200kv.. anyways..
u can simply mount the motor on a ply piece fixed.. and motor should rotate.. one thing u need to take care of  is...
when u make the connection ur throttle should be down.. let the ESC get ready.. it will play some tune.. that indicates the motor is ready.. then u should increase the throttle.. it will work..
the prop n motor setting is fine..

see this .. this is how u should mount the motor

The motor is working as desired. had called up RcBazaar(i bought this motor from them) & they helped in making the right setup for this motor. Thanks RcBazaar - you guys are very supportive.
Thanks Shadman, for confirming.
At present I am working on making the pushrods. Taking some time.
Hope everything sets up soon. Will post the pics & videos.
