Title: brushed motor stops at half throttle
Post by: sayeed on November 23, 2020, 04:38:13 PM
Today tested my new minimum rc (crossover receiver) AFHDS 2A(Flysky) with

716 coreless motor - 45mm prop
250mah 1s lipo

Motor stopped at half throttle stick

Everything seems ok in transmitter settings and receiver connections but then I cross checked with multimeter

Test 1.
Motor connected directly with battery pulls 1.2 amps

Test 2.
With 5A built in receiver Motor pulls 0.55amps at half throttle then stops spinning.

Test 3.
Motor connected to receiver without prop pulls around 0.2-0.3amps at full throttle.

So I doubt ??? the problem is with built in esc or i need to calibrate the esc with my transmitter

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Calibration is the first step to go.

Yes! That's right but as for considering brushed motor we can't hear those  beep sounds for successful calibration and even I tried throttle trim to the lowest as described by someone on YouTube.

need to check with higher discharge capacity lipo.

I realized now that my built-in ESC is malfunctioning due to my fault on reversing the polarity connection of lipo battery.

Now I left with using external micro ESC for my receiver
