Edwin

Greetings,
I have a problem, or rather a doubt which seems quite peculiar in that it seems not to be discussed anywhere else Huh?, or maybe Its plain foolish to even contemplate such a thing................ however, let me present my problem b4 the knowledgeable members of this forum.
Of late I have taken a fancy to an aircraft, an ADAM 500, of which only seven were manufactured ever, b4 the company went bankrupt. It was then taken over by another company and eventually that company also went bankrupt Roll Eyes. However its a cool craft with two engines mounted one at the front and another at the back one turning a puller and another a pusher prop.
I being the scratch building type am planning to build one of epp, where the fuse and the wings do not present any great problem, however my doubt is as follows....
        1.   Can I Put 2 props (8x4 perhaps) on a single BL outrunner like http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=3732&Product_Name=hacker_Style_Brushless_Outrunner_20-26M I have planned to put one on the body and extend the shaft a couple of inches and put one on that as well facing back.
        2.   Will it kill the motor.
        3.   Will it kill the esc ( I currently use a 30 amp esc with one 10x4 prop and 3s 1800mah batt )
        4.   Will my battery puff and and give up.
        5.   Is it possible at all or is it an outrageous suggestion. I could always use two outrunners, but thats what the uninitiated would do Wink We at RC INDIA wanna do different things differently right Grin
So please help me out....... I really appreciate any bit of info that i can get.......... Thanx
Edwin

Edwin ,
I think it would kill the motor as by my pure layman thinking 2 props should add up to 1.5 if not 2 times the load on the motor .
The Hobbyking motor you are talking about is the same as turborix 1050 KV motor.

I would  go with 2 motors like the Turborix 1300 KV or 2204/14 instead of 1 motor  and have  a pair of rotating and counter rotating 3 blade 6x 4 props to give it a scale look.
After making such a beauty I would not like have problems with the electronics scuttling the project .

Sir,
My only reason for trying to use a single motor is to Reduce Weight as an additional motor would mean an addition of
1) The weight of the motor itself
2) An additional ESC or perhaps a higher rated ESC could handle two motors(not sure)
3) Probably an additional battery or at the least a battery of a much higher capacity,

I the real plane, the rear engine is mounted at a higher elevation than the front one, so using 2 motors, I could also give a more scale appearance to the model.................... I have a turborix 1050kv motor though, maybe could do a bench test...................

two of this combo with ESC will add up to less than a single motor of 43 gms+ larger  ESC.

and provide  around the same level of thrust.
In fact I use this motor with a normal 10 amp ESC
