DYS BE1806 2300kv - General Discussion

Great value from DYS.  The 1806 size is comparable to 2204 - smaller diameter but taller.  Motor performance seems to be on par with the 2204 size and a touch lighter at 24g with prop adapter and 14cm of silicone wire.  Wires can be cut at any point (no enamelled wires to deal with).  These motors use NSK bearings and are very nicely built - a great choice if you're looking to save a little money without completely sacrificing manufacturing quality.

Comes with bolt-on prop adapter - 4mm / 5mm shaft
Note : The newer version of these motors come with 5mm shafts, so no need for prop adapters now.

Here is a nice thrust test chart courtesy of rotorgeeks.

You can also look at a nice thrust test with comparison of other motors in the mini category here :

Hi Sahil.

I do not have any data regarding a 2S setup.
Neither was I able to find any.
I do not have a thrust measurement setup otherwise I would've done it done it for you.

Anyway, I would imagine a 5030 would be no good, I fly my copter at full throttle half the time, and after 15 minutes my motors are not even warm to touch, on a 3S and 5030.

A 6030 will be fine, but you might want to go for a 7 inch prop for the motor to shine.

May I ask what are you intending to do with such a setup?

Hi

I have few 2S batteries 300mah,400mah lying around and started looking for a suitable light weight high trust motor for powering a rc plane.

I have been looking at lot of quad-rotor motors with good spec but all need 3S battery or above.

These motors are relatively high kv, so they'll do good with smaller cell batteries.
If you want to try, you could go ahead, a 7 inch prop should actually be pretty efficient on a 2S.
