Dear all

I am using Turnigy Plush 30A ESCs for my quad.
I have burnt my DT700 motor connected to one of the ESC. I thought the motor may winding shorted.
I re-winded the same motor and connect to the faulty ESC, the new winding also gets smoked.
I disconnected quickly and checked the same smoked motor on another Turnigy Plush 30A ESC.
This time smoked motor works very fine not getting hot (Well I have to rewind the smoked motor again).

The problem is the faulty ESC is not getting hot but burning the motor - WHY?
I have opened the heat shrink of faulty ESC there are no burnt ICs found on circuit board.
I am using BLHeli firmware for pulsing.

There might be problem with either MOSFET or MCU in ESC. Motor will burn if it is supplied directly by DC current through windings for long time. So the MCU may not be changing phases instead it is triggering only one phase.
Let us know whether total winding was damaged or only 2 phases of 3.

Yes I agree with Reddy Sir, the MOSFET is bad, The MCU or the sysem controller is rare, you can see the diagram of an MOSFET where there is G-Gate, D-drain, S-source, you see the G pin a driver pin resistor may be open or Mosfet dead short, you can find these MOSFET ( Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors) in old discarded Computer Mother boards with similar ratings, identity, polarity pins, arrange some aluminium piece as heat sink use Heat sink compound, so that Mosfet do not over heat

Problem Solved

I have re-flashed the ESC with BLHeli firmware
Before flashing these parameters were found to burn the motor - Governer P Gain = 0.1, Startup power = 2.0, Damping force = Very high, motor timing = very high (These parameters might open the output of ESC and gives current directly to motor without pulsing) i have'nt taken photograph but remembers above values.
After flashing (works Perfectly well and motor remains cool even 15 min of continuous full throttle) the picture shows optimized parameters.
