Can you guys recommend some motors to me for my mini quad. I was thinking about the dys 1806 2300kv motors as they are cheap with plenty of power. I will run my motors on 3s with emax Simon Series 12A escs. I would prefer buying from India.
My budget for all 4 motors is 3500 max.
Thanks  Hats Off

Most mini quads these days are using 2205 or above motors. 1806 and 12A ESCs is a set up that was popular more than a year ago and will be very underpowered compared to modern 2205+20A setups, especially on 3S. Take a look at the RCX H2205 or even better, the ZMX V2 2205. They should be within or marginally above your budget but will be a lot more powerful. Even if you go with 1806, get 20A ESCs so you can reliably run 4S later or upgrade your motors. I recommend the DYS XM20A.

If you haven't bought the frame already, I suggest you avoid that Enzo. It looks extremely fragile, there are no spare parts available for it and it isn't even that cheap. Just get a ZMR250 or ZMR250 V2 instead. Those frames are like tanks, heavy but very strong.

Are your parts set in stone? It's much better to go with 20A ESCs.

3.5k for motors is really low. I checked the top motors dominating the US markets and nothing is in your budget. Any way to increase your budget? Better to spend more for quality now than to regret it down the road.

@SK1701 I have Enzo 250 with me. It's extremely rigid. Carbon fibre body and glass fibre arms. Those arms are strong as a rock. Not even a bit of flexibility. And it weights around 130-140g which is light atleast for me. I don't want to upgrade my whole quad and I am just looking for motors suitable for my 12A esc. I am adding FPV and so I would like to invest more in it than in buying new escs, etc.
@cycloned That's all it is. Max I can increase to 4k

With your budget you can get the RCX/ZMX 2205 as I already said. But they will smoke your ESCs without a doubt. You can get the 1806 but I am willing to bet that in a few months you will want to upgrade. And then you will have to buy new motors and ESCs. Instead, just buy good motors now and upgrade your ESCs,

Cobra 2204(2205) 2300kv from RCHyper if you are looking for motors in India. Else as SK suggested ZMX, RCX 2205 2350kv or 2633kv are cheaper and great motors!

Bro if you want to stick to 5 inch props then go with 1806. These are good but you cannot increase the props to more than 5inch. If you want to increase the prop in future to 6 inches then go with 2204 motors They are good with 5 inch but their real power is unleash with 6 inch propellers.

here is my suggestion
1806 with 5 inch props on 3Cell

2204 with 5 inch prop on 3Cell of 4Cell

2204 with 6 inch prop on 3Cell

If 1806 then go with DYS

If 2204 then go with DYS,SunnySky or Cobra

But from what I am seeing is that this motor http://www.quadkopters.com/product/brushless-motors/dys1806-2300kv/
Gives more thrust than these
http://www.quadkopters.com/product/brushless-motors/dys-2204-2400kv-brushless-motor/
So why upgrade to 2204?

Cos 1806 you use only 5 inch props with 2204 you can use 6 inch too without any problems.

As of now, the Cobra 2204 is the best motor available in India.

The only advantage of the 1806 is that it is lighter than 2204/2205 motors. However, it lacks torque and thus thrust. The reason the 1806 appears to give more thrust than the 2204 is because the 2204 thrust table is given only for 2S. I would avoid the 1806 completely. If you plan to use only 5-inch props (non-bullnose) on 4S, get a high kv 2205, such as the RCX/ZMX 2633kv. Otherwise if you want to run heavy 5 inch and light 6-inch props, go for the 2350kv version or the Cobra 2300kv. The Cobra will do especially well with 5045BN props and 4S.

But according to this guy's tests this motor performs better than sunny sky's.(http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2180080) I will be running them on HQ 5x4.5 bull nose.
That much of thrust can easily lift my copter at 30-40% throttle.
I am kinda leaning to the 1806 cause I won't have to change my whole power system for that.
