Sandeep, what would be the cost of only rewinding of a 2826-1400 KV motor; the bearings etc are fine, only the winding is damaged

The reason I ask is I would have to add Rs. 200 (to and fro freight) and a new motor costs about Rs. 900

Thanks in advance for your reply, which of course would be purely an estimate and non-binding in the event of contract award

Even more. Its a very common problem. Most of the beginners like me go for a new one instead of spending some time on getting it repaired. I think this is tough and requires great concentration, patience and ofcourse the technical know-how of doing it.
I get disappointed when I see my 2212's every time. They are from my quad/tri.

@sbajare
Excellent initiative.
After Sunday will send you some motors. They don't need rewinding, just new shaft, bearings, proper reassembly etc.
Not even asking for rates as i believe your charges will be reasonable.
My offer to host you in Indore still stands...

hi,

Rc is a hobby we love and would always want to make the most out of  it.

Buying new stuff is always difficult and we seldom find ways to get things working in the easiest way.

Nitro engines are sturdy and seldom fail or require any repairs.

Today in the world of fast moving electrics. motors will keep getting burnt damaged.

I have myself got many  motors repaired and using them regularly.

This is only for the interest of people who would want their investment running instead of lying in the dust or garbage can.

To keep costs down we can find ways of sending the motors in bulk or by hand.

I will surely try to keep the repair costs minimal. but still its the effort for which you are paying.

roughly cost of rewinding is Rs. 300 to 500 depnding on motor kv.

to and fro cost will be another 100 to 200 rs

I in no means want to discourage you but in the cost of repairing it we can get a new one.

The most important tool required for motor rewinding in PATIENCE , rest all can be acquired/managed. Not having fat fingers also helps a bit  Tongue

We have been using a submersible pump for fire pump. It is placed in the Fire Water Tank. The capacity of the pump is 45 HP. Just 2 days back while testing the system the pump tripped 3 times. We got the pump checked and were advised that the winding repair is required.
Can you please give us a budget price for this 45 HP pump?
Your early response will be appreciated.

the service offered is for small motors - ones that can fit in your palm
any way - for a 45 HP submersible pump - cost of a full rewinding would be about Rs15k
but if the pump is running and tripping then may not need a full rewinding.
your local neighbourhood should have a motor rewinding shop
