I'm a student from College of Engineering Pune, INDIA. I'm using your EMAX HL2215 450 Brushless motor and Emax 35 A ESC.

I'm facing some problems:

1. When I attach a 8V Li-Ion battery and 8*6 propeller to the motor, it works well up til HALF the THROTTLE. Then when I try to increase the throttle further, Motor makes some strange noise and stops.

If I try to run the motor without the propeller, it runs well throughout the throttle.

2. My other observation is , with the propeller motor takes 3A current till half throttle. then suddenly the speed drops but motor keeps on taking 4A current.

Please Help Me out of this.

Can you please be specific from where you have bought the motor, as we do not sell the EMAX HL2215 (Heli motor).

Also please note that the motor needs 3s-4s lipo. i.e. 11.1V to 14.8V

The ESC is 40A minimum

Your  problem is   when load ( prop ) is applied to the motor it stops , without load ( prop ) it runs fine  .
The answer to the problem as per me lies in your problem itself  the Amp Draw is Increasing beyond 1/2 throttle  beyond the capacity of the system to deliver .

Your battery  you have said is 8 V  but have not stated the Capacity and the discharge rate of the battery  so we cannot  be specific of the answer .
Theoretically the calculation will be as follows  :

( MAH rating of battery / 1000 ) x discharge rate ( C) = Amps  battery is capable of delivering .

Eg a 1000 mah battery of 25 c can deliver at Theoretically 25 amps which will actually be around 22 amps practically .

Hence if this  is  exceeded in terms of Amps Drawn by your power system  then the  ESC will shut it down to prevent damage .

The Other option is the ESC 's capacity might  be  exceeded , but my hunch is it is not the case  I suspect the Batteries capacity to deliver is being  Maxed

i have brought that motor from Servo Electronics Mumbai.
 i ordered the combo pack of bldc(EMAX CF2822),esc(EMAX 18 Amp),prop(9*5) n prop saver from u(RC Dhamaka).
Will u able to tell me some experience or review about this package?
Characteristics of that motor n data sheet or manual of esc?
How much time it will take for delivery in pune?u don't have pusher propellers.i need pair of pusher n tractor propellers for my quadrotor project.Will u able to help me???

But right now i dont know the battery capacity.but i'll check it with ur suggested calculations n also i'll try my system with two 12 v battery in parallel.n tell u what happens.
Yesterday i connected that esc (Emax 35amp) to another bldc(not Emax another brand dont know name),we got the same result motor stops with some strange noise n stops after half throttle.
then i thought prob is with Esc.So i connect that another bldc's esc(10 Amp) to Emax bldc(no load) then that was unable to run the motor properly but current drawn is too much around 6 amp or more.so it heat up....
But with Emax bldc+Emax esc 35 amp this combination motor runs fine without prop n takes 4 amp of current at full throttle which is well below the 35 amp capacity of esc n also belw 10 amp.   
So im very much confused.im not understanding problem is with esc or motor or both.

The prop will be 9x6 and not 9x5 do not come up with your own figures.


The manual of the esc comes with the ECS.
Once you make payment the order will leave our office and within 2 days it will reach PUNE BY COURIER as already informed to you over the phone.
