Title: My Homemade RC Setup
Post by: Priyum on April 04, 2013, 11:11:34 AM
Hello guys,

Im new to the hobby and quite excited too.
Im in the process of making a homemade RC plane and i need some help from you guys to suggest me.

My setup-

Motor - Emax CF2812 1580kv motor
Prop - 8*4 plastic propeller
ESC - 20A ESC(Burst to 25A with a BEC)
Servos - 0.15kg Servos

So my problem is divided into 2 things-

1) Which battery would be usefull for this setup so that i dont fry up my ESC.
2) Will my ESC be able to handle to this setup cause i dont have money for a bigger one.

Thanks
Priyum

If you are entering into electrics you should buy a wattmeter first.

Your esc will be sufficient and about the lipo you can consider about 3s 1000-1500 mah one with respect to your auw...

With a 8*4 prop, I think you should limit to 2s lipo for this motor.

2-Cell (7.4v)    GWS EP8040    400gms+    9 amps    67 watts (As per datasheet)
