battery is  http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=22906

Not sure but the Motor is not responding at all.
Using CT6B transmitter, tried with two Rx.

You are using the recommended config...but may be the wires going into the motor might be cut / broken...If you have access to a multimeter then you can verify that...

You should be able to hear the ESCs beep when you connect the battery. Did you?
Check the polarity of Rx connections also.
Putting up close-up pics of your connections will make troubleshooting easy.
Cheers!

Thanks Santosh and Veloci for the response.

Santosh, yes do have multimeter, but not sure how to check for cut / broken wires. Please do provide little more details for testing the same.

Veloci, there is no beep sound, but servos are working. have not installed yet to plane. wanted to test before installing and found out the motor is not working. still i can take a picture of the assembly and send it here.

Also tested with other motor and it worked.

Thanks

hi,

you should switch to resistance mode in your multimeter, and then connect over any 2 terminals of your motor, you would get some value if not your wire is broken. there are some new multimeter which make this beep sound.you should get the resistance value for the three combinations same(or approximately same).if not this indicates that there is a cut in the winding.

the three values refer to 3 combinations of ab,bc,ac.it doesn't matter if u connect via ab or ba, the resistance will still be same.

 hope it helped. Thumbs Up

Thanks Mohammadadam,

Testing moter helped to some level. found out one of the wire soldering was not proper. and its been fixed. but still the motor is not working...  Bang Head

Now I have checked the soldering at ESC ends too. unfortunately I don't have spare 10A ESC to test.
Would like to know what are the possible test can be done to make sure ESC is working fine?

is it ok to test the motor (2730) with 20A ESC ?  (just for testing)

Thanks in advance

if the capacity of the motor is under 15a, then you can safely use a 20a esc... but if it is above, then the motor is gone...

maybe this could help you,
http://www.rcindia.org/beginners-zone/ths-video-tutorials-on-youtube/msg148746/#new

replace the servo tester with transmitter,
and make sure you are connecting the ESC in the correct channel, in your case it should be channel 3, and start the TX with all the trim tab and throttle down, always start TX first and the the RX for proper working of ESC,(ive made this mistake many times and still wondering why the ESC wont work)

the setup looks all good, but i think that there might be a problem with esc ,  try these combinations and say the result.

new motor with old esc,
new esc with old motor.

in the previous reply u said u used the esc  with other motor and it worked, did u check again.

one of my  20a esc had the same problem after i reverse connected the terminals, they dont give out any sound neither any vibrations but will work , just try with ur friends esc na.

no beep from esc should be the first troubleshooting step.  is your TX throttle trimmed to neutral or below?

1. Check the servo connector for correct polarity
2. Uae a multimeter. Put it on ohms range and check continuty in coils. Use two leads at atime. Check all three sets AB BC AC. All sets should show some resistance not infinite.  If any one set shows infinite resistance the motor is the culprit else its the esc.
3. Plug in a servo in the rx port 3 to see it the rx is providing the required signals

We checked the power output from ESC and its nill. tried all the combinations.
And its doesn't give a beep sound when its powered.

Looks like the issue is with the ESC

Did you try to enter programming mode of the ESC (throttle high on power up)?

If it was brand new and never worked, it's unusual because they are QC from the factory.  Personally, I've installed and used about 50 ESCs most from Hobbyking and the rest from Hobbypartz and never found a bad one.  Later, some ESCs burnt out due to my fault.

Im not a pro, but just trying to help, seems like the motor wires are not properly connected, since you said the ESC worked good with other motor. maybe the soldering in the motor coil wasnt good enough.

Another one, lets say if there are 12 poles on the motor, every bullet connector on the motor will be connected to 4 coils each. which makes 4 poles of 3 set each. you might have checked the continuity with bullet connector, try checking the connectivity of each coil.

All the very best.
