The max. current a battery can safely provide is calculated from it's discharge rating (C rating) and AmpHours (Ah) . Max. continuous o/p current = Amp hours X C rating ie; for a 1Ah (1000mAh) , 20C battery - the max. continuous discharge current is 20A . and for a 2Ah (2000mAh) , 20C battery it will be 40A . Now we have to consider how much run time you need with the battery - this solely depends on the Amp hours of the battery pack - Higher the Amp Hours, higher will be the Discharge time . But weight will also increase for more Ah batteries, so you have to select an optimum Ah pack depending on the AUW or your model.
