My friend is having a problem with his motor which is http://rcbazaar.com/products/1999-avionic-c2836-kv1120-brushless-motor.aspx
It tends to vibrate like hell when he runs it. When he Saw inside the motor he found that the coils where a little melted from beginning when he bought it.
Can I know how to repare it can it get repaired at the local motor rewinding shop.

Rcbazaar could you please replace the motor for him if it is not getting repaired.

Information sharing improves knowledge of both.

In description of RCBazaar, it is written as 1120 rpm instead KV.
However, can we see the fault picture ? you can easily rewind this motor, just search this forum.

Don't wake a Tiger until you've factored the teeth

Open the grub screw with a 1.5 mm Allen Key, and the circlip with a circlip pliers

For the wire gauge, if you have to ask this question do not attempt to rewind yourself

If getting it done by a professional, he will know

Nitesh

Instead of asking how to remove this that.Spend some money on special tools, soldering, tweezers and knife.

In DIY you need lots of special tool.I have got even mini driller to make larger hole on servo arms for hinge.

Ok sir
Was thinking about it as when i saw it looked like a hex from the inside.
I have soldering iron, allen keys, drills, screw driver set, drills from 10mm to 20mm size, angle grinders, die grinders and many more.
All my fathers except the soldering iron i can use them any time.

To remove the c clip you need a connector check in two wheeler mechanic shop.these type of clips comes in carburetor needle and disk brake master cylinder.

Dear sir the above motor u'd specified would provide the thrust mentioned at the rcbazaar site when we use the given combinations or its just hypothetical data.....do we get this thrust at 100% throttle or at 50-60% throttle only

RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

The thrusts typically mentioned in motor specs would be at WOT with the given prop and input voltage. To measure actual static thrust, the scale test is a simple way of doing it. This is where the plane is tied to a spring loaded kitchen weighing scale, and see how much the plane can displace the scale.

Also sir in the rc bazzar site i observe that the combination provided by the companies especially avionics motor was very much hypothetical for eg in one of the motor C3536/1900kv they are promising thrust of 1200gm with 3s and 9*4.7 props with esc of just 30 amps when at load condition motor ddraws around 37.33 amps .......so how can i thrust there data and buy a product.....try to xpalin sir

Theoretical ? Something like this ?

http://www.rcindia.org/electric-power/how-to-calculate-the-thrust/ (see link in reply #1).

Basically you have to do a bit of searching.

Also, when you talk about a product, please post a link here, so that we all can verify what you are saying, and point out anything that you may have overlooked.

And you are right, some of the ESC choices listed seem wrong.  For example, for this motor below, there are multiple combinations where the peak current at load is higher than the ESC rating, and this is not a good thing.

Hello guys,
A small update with the rewind of this motor.
I want cleaning my room when I stumbled upon this long forgotten piece of metal, I decided to make some use of it. I've been able to remove the stator with the windings. But the thing is I am not able to find the bearings and the c clip for this motor. Anyone knows where can I find it?

There is another problem. While removing the windings I was getting frustrated and I caused some damage to the stator removing some of it's insulation and also a strand of two of us poles has come out.

Re:

A computer processor fan. Hmmm. Will it fit? I'll surely try it.

U can use very small quantity of araldite for better insulation. Please check with DMM continuity tester and check with stator and coil.

Another way to use you motor is you have change motor shafts position. Since it is backward, u can use it with forward shaft in pusher configuration without c clip.

Re:

Thank you so much. I'll try the c clip from CPU fan. Now what should I do about the bearings and the grub screw? Also insulating with epoxy? How? Any videos or articles?

Re:

@tictoc21 The bearings and the grub screw are both missing. I am not able to find them. Do you have any videos on how to insulate the stator.

Better to buy them. U can put epoxy where insulation is not. Sorry no video. But I tried once. Please check the stator and coil continuity before running motor.

Re:

Thank you so much. I am thinking you too much but do you have any idea where I can get bearings and the grub screw? RCB is out of stock.
