Title: Rewinding motor problem Post by: Imperial fire on November 23, 2017, 07:13:50 PM So I started rewinding a motor...
Same wire thickness...same turns ..and same pattern given... However I can't recall if the motor earlier was wound clockwise or anticlockwise??? I tried winding it clockwise and it won't work...won't even beep.....does the direction matter?? Should I bother winding it the other way all over again??? Or have I missed something and made another mistake... Help appreciated ....wanna get an airplane to fly..tnx Title: Re: Rewinding motor problem Post by: Imperial fire on November 23, 2017, 07:15:48 PM Also ...if the wire is of slightly ( very slightly different thickness) diff thickness....will the motor not work at all???
I thought it will work at a different kv,..but it won't even start Title: Re: Rewinding motor problem Post by: Skyrider on November 23, 2017, 09:36:49 PM Which motor and How many poles it has?
Title: Re: Rewinding motor problem Post by: rastsaurabh on November 23, 2017, 09:53:37 PM Hello Mr Fire,
surely there is a mistake in winding....there are too many CW and CCW in a single winding. Movement of winding on stator and winding on poles ( its both CW & CCW). check winding threads in this forum itself. http://www.rcindia.org/multirotors/scratch-built-quad/msg229070/#msg229070 regds Saurabh Title: Re: Rewinding motor problem Post by: Imperial fire on November 23, 2017, 10:00:16 PM Hope i find my answer there..fingers crossed
