Title: Turnigy 2213 outrunner no of Turns??
Post by: Snehal.Samar on July 02, 2011, 05:22:58 PM
Hi Friends, :)

Pls help me in selecting motors.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=5688
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=5690
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=5687

These are the same motors .The main difference between them is TURNS AND AMPS.
So what is the difference with NO. OF TURNS OR AMPS.??

I have 11.1 volts battery and 30 amp esc.

can we operate this motor
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=12919
on 30AMP esc ( http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=13429 )?

Thnks
Snehal

The motors may look same due to the stickering but are different, rc brushless motor are defined like this ABCD- X Kv

this mean AB is the diameter of the rotor and CD is the magnet length, X kv is the rpm/V, longer the magnets, higher the current and higher the Amp

A motor with more number of turns will turn slower, and with a high force so so it gives higher "Thrust" and  motor with less number of turns will faster with less force and gives you "Speed"

Nope u cannot operate http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=12919 motor on that ESC as its Max current is 34 A

just curious to know how u are choosing a motor for ur airplane?

This motor http://thehobbyshop.in/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=10&products_id=31 is way to small compared to one u asked in 1st post.

Actually friend i am a begginer and i dont have time to research on motors coz we have science exibhition in our school next month and i wanna participate with plans.

http://rchobbyaddict.com/product_info.php?cPath=53&products_id=144&osCsid=566fc2a40f190ea4fb2dfe38d9808df2

I saw that its weight is 44 grm.So i thought that it is a medium sized motor.

Found one more

A motor with more number of turns will turn slower, and with a high force so so it gives higher "Thrust" and  motor with less number of turns will faster with less force and gives you "Speed"

This should read as "torque". Thrust is determined by a combination of prop diameter, pitch and RPM.

@jatayu
From where can i get Turnigy plush 30amp in Rs 670+100 ?? any links?

On HK website i saw that orders for Turnigy plush 30A were -16 !!
That means more people are willing to buy it coz its a good ESC.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=2164

But this HK ESC
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=13429
is the same thing but less cost and 3gms more weight than Plush.
feedback of customer is also good on both ESC's .

But -16 orders for Plush is attracting me towards it . ;D

The weight is with out connectors so it will increase by atleast 20-30 grams,

if u are willing to wait, u can proceed and buy it....

i jus meant that it is available locally if u are ready to pay 100 or 200 more....

Be aware that HK will not publish negative comments, and also positive comments will give them store credits.... hope uunderstood.
