Title: Using Emax Lightning ESCs with non-racing quad
Post by: themaverick on August 12, 2020, 09:46:40 PM
Hello,

I have a F-450 frame quad with Emax 2212- 980KV motors and 1045 props and am searching for the ESCs.
AFAIK, Emax lightning ESCs (https://rcmumbai.com/catalog/product/view/id/2011/s/emax-lightning-30a-esc/) are meant for lightweight, responsive racing drones. Is it okay if I used it with my kinda heavy stable F-450 frame based non-racing drone?
Wondering if it might become too jerky (read extra responsive) and unstabilized.

Does anyone has such experience? The reason for choosing Lightning over non-lightning Emax ESCs (https://rcmumbai.com/catalog/product/view/id/2019/s/emax-d-shot-bullet-series-30a-2-4s-blheli-s-esc-3-9g-support-onshot42-multishot/) is the significant price difference.
