Hi
There were many motors lying with me, all with some sought of winding problems, like wire getting cut etc, i hope most of the members too have such motors lying with them.

I thought of winding these motors, but with so many failed attempts, i finally was able to do one, and this allowed to wind all of the motors rewinded which were lying dead.

first step to get a proper wire for rewinding something like 22, 23 or 24 gauge wire, here lesser the gauge, more broader or thicker the wire

Second step is to remove E clip carefully and remove all the old copper wire, while removing try to count the number of turns on each stator

Third step, leave a long lengthy wire say approximately 8 to 10 cm, here i am winding double wires on each turn, around 12 turns around each stator.  The start end should be given name as S1 and starting coiling around each stator and the end of the wire is labeled as E1

fourth step start winding next stator, label the wire as start 2 as S2 and ending wire as E2, subsequently as S3 and E3

Follow the diagram for winding, attached is the pick

Sahil, with rewinding of motors, you expect sometimes more rpm, and less torque, but also sometimes more torque with less rpm, but all in all the performance was okay, checked with 800 gm models and 500 gm models,

its better than not using them and keep them aside. have not experienced any noise too much to consider

Prashant thanks for the reply.

Question what make ESC have you used with the rewound motors?. I'm curious to know because LRK wound motors require a slightly different signals from ESC, although you have used DLRK winding.

@ sahil, DLRK winding i suppose support many ESCs for e.g Hobbyking, Redbrick, Hobbywing ...., though i have not encountered any such problem with ESC

@shinji  , thanks, enjoy, more motors, more models, and more fun
