EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) is kind of foam which is extremely light, tough and the most big feature which makes it a favorite in RC plane making is its flexibility, which makes the plane almost unbreakable.

A good news for flyers who finds pride in scratch building their planes,
EPP is now available online for a cheaper rate, high quality, many sizes.

We supply 10mm EPP,20mm EPP and 40mm EPP.
10mm is ideal for making a full closed fuz
20mm in making regular fuzes
and 40mm is much denser and gives you wings with any kind of airfoils when cut with an hot wire.

We supply EPP for the following rates

.5 inch foam(Black/White)    Rs.20/- per 300mmx300mm
 1 inch foam (White)           Rs.45/- per 300mmx300mm
 2 inch foam(White)            Rs.90/- per 300mmx300mm

Fiberglass strips(Best substitute for carbon rods)  3mm strips (2ft length) Rs.10/-(per strip)

It will be shipped to any part of India(Shipping rates depend upon  the quantity and mode of shipping)

you can place your order at skpulipaka@gmail.com

Since we cannot build in per sq foot, suggest you give prices in per sq m
Further, most of the times we will not be using these thickness so give in terms of 5mm 10mm thickness

I noticed that you have posted prices in sq ft and then also multiplied to arrive at the sq mts rate. Is there a standard size available or you can cut sheets of any dimension?

Hey Pankaj
The standard size that I get in 6ftx3ft.
I'm a prime dealer of EPP in hyderabad and sell it in wholesale quantity.
I got to know recently that it can be used in aeromodelling .So I decided to sell it in small quantity for aeromodellers  who generally don't require such big sheets.
I can give sheets of any size according to the need of my customer.
Any more clarifications please do call me over my number posted above.

Hey Saikumar,
I have received your samples and I think this is not the kind of foam used for building rc planes. The EPP that I have used in planes resembles like the normal thermocol as it has the ball like granular structure - however this is where the similarity ends.
The sample that you have sent is easily available locally - it looks more like series of plastic sheet layered together (I do not know what it is called).

Since you deal in foam - send me your address and I will send you a sample. Maybe you can identify the kind of foam I need

The seller has reported that he is out of stock.

But the thread is unlocked to answer pending question about whether this is really EPP.

The first sample picture posted by seller seems to have the exact same structure of thermocol/ EPP with foam balls fused together.

What pankaj is describing seems more like the highly flexible packing foam which comes with computer hardware, formed by polythene like plastic sheets with random bubbles foam structure with large empty air bubbles and sheets of 5mm thick. Further these 5mm sheets stuck together to form thicker sheets and packing structures.

If so how come different pic than what is being sold posted by seller in the Thread.

SK,

Thanks a ton for taking the trouble and sending me the samples. However, as Jatayu pointed out, it seems to be EPE foam.

Regards.

But that doesn't seem to be what's in the initial post/picture Head Scratching  Or is it just a camera thing ?

And if it is sold out, wonder who bought it, and got a deal that was not really intended ?!?!?

Wouldn't like to comment upon that. All I felt that the Seller genuinely didn't have any idea about EPP / EPE /EPO foams. He thought he had stumbled upon something useful for the community and posted here. I am sure he isn't trying to rip off anyone. Else, he wouldn't be sending out free samples to all and sundry via DTDC.

Now that the anomaly has been pointed out to him, he probably decided to extricate himself and withdrew from this deal. He did mention, when he called me, "first see the sample and then let me know if it is useful or not." Thumbs Up

+1, he did call me up also and asked to check out the foam. Based on the pic posted by Jatayu, this is EPE. I will be sending him a sample of EPP and lets see if he responds back.
But what is surprising is that the first picture was indeed EPP.

Update.

Met Sai in Hyderabad yesterday and handed over the block of EPP foam as a reference. It turns out that the original seller is someone different. Sai, whose phone number and email is given in the post is the seller's friend.

Anyway, lets see if this leads in some positive direction

Anyway was good to see some of Sai's EPE creations. Personally I am fond of any form of scratch builds Cheesy

IN THRUST WE TRUST.....!!

u have got the wrong foam sheet....

if u are in HYD.. checkout  with sai of RC bharath. or  someone   known in the  field.. dont experiment... it normally ends up in failure and a broken heart.

And also please do suggest me in the selecting the rc plane parts at

Hey Viper
The sheets you bought seems to be Foam Boards which is really difficult to make a  plane with.

Go for EPS or styrofoam or EPS, I have EPS in stock ( Different Densities)

Thanks
