Guys!!

With all the hue and cry about problems with importing of Transmitter Radios, I thought Brand New Radio with advanced features of reputed brand like futaba for just Rs 9000/- should have been gone by now!!... :headscratch:

Have all RC enthusiasts migrated to 2.4 Ghz or cheaper chinese version radios?

This is a brand new computerised Radio with advanced features and programing facility going cheap. A worth investment for a long time to come.

offers please.

I think sticking to 2.4G with OEM Tx/RX module is way costly for foamies enthusiast like me. each Rx would cost you at least Rs 4000-5000, in the 6-7channel range, while same channel FM Rx cost way cheaper in the 1600-2000 range.

I guess its wiser to get a feature rich, used FM Tx of a leading brand (Futaba/Jr/Sanwa/Spektrum etc) and use an Assan hack instead.

Hope some 'wise' person gets interested in your offering!

The new Futaba 2.4Ghz single antenna "park flyer" receivers are in the $50 range (close to INR 2K), so are the AR6100 (AR6100E) receivers for JR/Spektrum.

Yes Anwar bahi! I already have the 4CH Futaba R6004FF 'nano' Rx which costs $50 + shipping
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXWHX6&P=0

But sadly it is strictly for indoor/park flyer and not a 'Full Range' Receiver.

I am eying for this 6CH 'Mid Range' Rx Futaba R6106HF, which people say is essentially a full range only (when tested for going fail safe, side by side a full range 7Ch Rx R617FS ). This is a little costlier at $59. It is out of stock for the while and I am waiting for Tower's discount on multiple item (I plan to buy 2) and their usual slabbed discount on total ($20 off on $125.00 - $149.99) which come time to time.

But I still think I should have got an old 9CAP FM and hacked with Assan!

That is the scene of great debate between the two bandwith. People below and above are migrating from one bandwith to another for various reasons of thier own, economy, performance, Upgrade and for being upto date. Some devilish enjoying the confusion. Some confused. Some banging thier head wherever they are. Some drooling to exploit the fallouts.

I was just getting bored by the great debate of mhz and 2.4 ghz and feeling sleepy. I was letting loose on my passion for some artistic creation. Sure does not look pretty, conveys a lot. Just for sake of Humour. Don't worry will get moderated. ;D ;D ;D

;D ;D

Jokes apart, I do not know whom to sympathise with.

The FM Mhz lobby or the 2.4 Ghz lobby especially when I have used both bandwidth.

I started with 2.4 Ghz Futaba 6EX for the reason of being current and upto date.

Jumped into Wfly Mhz lobby for the reason of economy and non availability of Micro receivers :-\.

Accumulated 08 numbers 2.4 Ghz Full range futaba receivers and Futaba 2.4 Ghz Tx 7C (I know at what cost I have bought them and with what difficulties :'( :'(). Bought two more micro 4 gms park flyer receivers of 2.4 Ghz For standardisation :-\.

Abandoned the 72 Mhz and jumped into Proprietary 900Mhz for Micro flying. Accumulated eight more receivers of 900 Mhz at about 2K each :'( :'(.

If one has sufficient glittering Vitamin ‘M’ then can be choosy about antennae, frequency issue, can land brand centric requirement of receivers from anywhere.

Now I just cannot think about upgrading to 2.4 Ghz 10C or 12C since cost of one receiver is equivalent to one and a half times that of this transmitter. What will I do with these receivers I have already bought? I can always use them but in 7C mode then there is no upgrade.

Or was the Mhz lobby better which was giving you all the required features at lesser cost with versatility of not being brand centric. Yeah of course with small hassles of rare frequency clash, (200 Kms Radius if not more I am the only nut case who flies a RC plane every Sunday.) big trouble of having to extend the antennae (which you normally do for an FM radio to listen to cricket score), switch Xtals to change frequency, lastly surely which does no go with my status quotient ;).

Yeah one can always buy the cheaper Chinese 2.4 ghz without mixing and programming. Have both economy and 2.4 Ghz ;D ;D.

Wow, back to my favorite subject ;D

Sundaram sir...  you are one confused individual  8-)  ;D  >:D  :giggle:

I strongly backed the 2.4Ghz camp, mainly because of the frequency conflict issue earlier. Even in your situation, the day you want to fly with a bunch of folks, you will have to worry about asking around ;)

But the recent talk about just not being able to find the right crystals is an even bigger reason !

BTW, I am not sure why you are considering the 10C. Of course the radio is nice, but it looks like you are looking for better response/resolution (from your comment about your existing Futaba FASST receivers being useful only in 7C mode). I will tell you honestly that unless you are in the top 3% (or is it 1%?) of pilots, you will not feel a big enough difference between the regular and high resolution modes. I always looked at Alan Szabo (one of the best 3D heli pilots) using his DX7 most of the time, as compared to more complicated and "faster" radios, as an indication of how insignificant radios are in the big picture ;D

It is all about pockets and perception, for the most part. If we do our part, we will see more and more people flying together, and that calls for 2.4Ghz, and that is my vision of the future :)

PS: Not extending the antenna of your FM radio does not cause any real harm, whereas....... ;)

Oh No Mr Anwar I am not confused at all please :P :P. I just had a feeling, that you’re favourite topic of debate was dying because of my picturesque post there >:D >:D.

I was just adding fuel to the fire to rekindle the debate :argue: :discuss:. Do you actually think someone who would invest plus lakhs rupees in radio and accessories in 2.4 Ghz would do it if he is not convinced of the advantages knows its plus (big problem is one should have a lakhs Rupees). If all RC Enthusiasts were sane people without the required maddening passion this hobby would as such die its death. 8-) 8-)

My Intention is to neither reach a verdict nor kill the debate.
I am just trying to sell The RC package back to recover some of my locked money.  >:D >:D (:|~ (:|~ :giggle: :giggle:
