i got it from a senior  veteran ... who had kept it  in in cupboard untouched but couldnot start i  because of his age( 80 yrs).... used its box for some  thing... sent me the engine in perfect new condition ..

told me " do what ever u want with this engine i am too old for  this  stuff...."

i was eager to start this engine and put it on my control line.... so started  it and run one tank... but i already had diesel ones on my CL... so  never installed...   and not interested in small planes and engines....

i told him i am  selling it he said go  ahead  .... but use  the money  for aeromodelling only ( and i am doing the same)

i am interested want to know if it fits my rc car? and also how do u start it i dont see a pull start mechanism attached on other side of the engine?

its a airplane engine.... dont kno if  it will fit into  your car.... we  usually start   the engine by flicking  or by using a starter.... as the  propeller and the spinner are naked  in  front of us ( un like in  case of cars)....

Where can one get a silencer for this engine?

i do not know....!!

how can it run without a muffler , cause the fuel gets into the carb only because of the pressure in the muffler, and there will be a pipe going from the mullfer to the fuel tank

@ dhaksha_dx: you have got your basics wrong...! the carb suck in the fuel, as due the vacuum created in the crank case during compression stroke......the pressure helps a  bit but not much..! EVER seen DIESEL RC engines run....! they do not have silencer...!!

more over it is said that you get a lot more power without the muffler as there is no restrictions in the exhaust.... but gets down the life by  some extent due to  the suction of atmospheric impurities directly in to the cylinder( specially on the ground while takeoff, landing and taxi rolls)
