yes while sanding one part of the tail broke off
so i just trimmed it.
can you post the build procedure for hunter glider.
i like the hunter too much and don't want to spoil it .
so a built\ assembly procedure will be really helpful.

Never ever 'trim' or cut away a part arbitrarily. What you should have done was joined it back with Quickfix, dried it for 8 to 10 hours and then sanded it flat. However, what is done, is done. Seeing the shape of your tailplane all I can suggest is this - Try flying her, if she nose dives, remove some weight from the nose. If all else fails, break away the tailplane and carve a new piece, using the plan supplied along with the kit, out of thin cardboard (visiting card material).

I am sorry, I don't have a Hunter build log. Let me see what I can do, if time permits. My Griffon 8100 Hovercraft build is killing me.

I am confused about how to attach the wings as the cavity in the fuse is LONGER than the wings.

Well my glider kit had the cavity larger than the wing chord at root Smiley

Well you can either trim the wing to form a protrusion kinda thing which can fit into the slot or increase the cavity size. Either of the above requires same amount of accuracy i guess. I would suggest the latter as it will allow for a larger area of contact between the wing and the fuse for glueing.

Apart from the above problem make sure you sand the wing parts, join the two wing sections with the necessary dihedral then slide it into the slot and glue the wing to the fuse. So make sure the wing can slide into the cavity easily before glueing itself else sand wing/cavity appropriatly.

This link is for a normal glider. Hope it helps:

If you are looking at the glider doing short flights and loops, slide the wing assembly to the front edge and then glue it. If you are looking at longer straight flights, slide the wing assembly to the rear and then glue it. I prefer the latter in the Hunter.

VC how does that help decide the duration/loops?

Is it because the glider becomes tail heavy when wing is shifted front - loops related?

I don't think that could cd the reason. when we shift the wings forward the plane should become nose heavy

Sorry guys, I'm not thinking straight now with CA glue all over my right hand and styrofoam dust all over my face!!! Perhaps it has to do with the shifting of the CG.

Sir i have a suggestion regarding the kit
you should include two full sheets of sandpaper as only 4 strips are not enough.
or 12 strips that is 2 strips each of both the sandpapers .
also i would like to share my new purchase a catapult.

Two full strips are included in the original box. You wanted some items to be removed and adjusted, that is what probably created the confusion. My assistant must have messed up. My apologies.

What i ment to say is that 12 strips of that length should be included
i bought 1sheet of each of 80 no ,120 no and 400 no  for Rs35 that is what all required.

Congrats!

BTW, in post no. 67, when I said "Two full strips are included in the original box", I actually meant "two full sheets" as shown in the picture. Also please see the first post in this thread.

Thanks.
