a freind of mine want to sell his Turnigy lipo 5s.

used for few flights.

5AH, 5s, 20C = 100A, 18.5V, Appx 1500 watt motor, 3kg+ thrust, My God!
Even batt weight 666 gm.

What will be the equivalent glow engine to be used it's setup?

well, I am not an expert but, I feel if we have a requirement for 5s battery, whay dont we use two battries of 3s & 2s in parallel. Advantage is lesser chances of faults in battery and even if it happen it will in either of the battries, if it will happen in a single 5s battery you have to open the whole battery.
LiPos are actually least trust worthy batteries specially low cost onces.

PS: Personal view based on common sense Wink

The 3S & 2S would be connected in SERIES, not parallel, to get a 5S pack.

Yes, you can make series. But it is preferable to use same quality cells to be used in a battery pack and preferably manufactured in same LOT.

Truely speaking unbalancing performance cannot be preferred but easily be overcome by balance charger. But always you will get the output of the capacity of the weakest cell in any pack. This all known to us who uses electrics. But cost of 2S and 3S 5AH pack may be higher rather than single pack.
