This is where brains have to be used.  Is the seller trying to sell the item at such a high price, that a buyer would be able to get a  better brand at similar prices ?  Then PROBABLY yes.  Otherwise, this sale thread is for the item being discussed, and not a general discussion about similar items.

Anyone is welcome to discuss engines in general on separate threads.  I find it funny that ASP engines have even earned the nick name "Another Serious Problem" over time, and my own experience with them have been less than stellar.  Should I open my big mouth in this thread about the sale of a TT engine ?  Now I would not prevent anyone from saying an OS engine of similar specs is available for only Rs1000 higher... that is a valid alternative, and a better value.

I say this again, if people post anything they find on Google just because "an engine is being discussed", then Idi Amin will find the "delete" button quite useful

And Asp can be what you have called it, but not in my opinion, I have seen ASP used by senior flyers here in Bangalore.

That is a link to a 91 engine, at Rs.11950.  Where is the similarity (size,price) with what is on sale here ? What am I missing ?

Also, Anwar, I would like to point out something..... I may say that I have a 0s.46ax for sale for Rs. 3000 but what is the point If I do not have the product available that does not mean that the people who are selling the same for Rs. 6300 - Rs. 7000 are in anyway incorrect, I am sure Rotor would have had the product and sold the same for the above mentioned price, but the truth is that it is currently not availble for the same price....

It seems people do not even consider the basic fact that a .91 engine would likely be oversized for a plane that can take a .75.  And this is what I find perplexing. Plus, buyers have to spend 4 to 5 thousand more (too late in the night to do math... and I don't know if Rotor prices include tax etc) ! Unless there is clear indication that the price quoted by the seller is obscene which may trick newcomers, why make these kind of logic-defying suggestions ?

... u are selling a used engine for 83% of the cost..
u cud do that if u are selling it personally to someone.. but on a public forum the rates depreciates exponentially sir.. its just like any other 2nd stuff.. coz no matter what u say.. that feeling of doubt is always there.. (its second hand , used once by someone else)
i had picked up OS 70fs for 4 k .. only 10 tanks done .. i think ujjuwana was there too..
i know u cant get it close to that deal.. but still  7.5 still pricks ... for a engine dat can be brought at 9k.. or shud the buyer suffer coz u had picked up the engine expensive... therefore u wanna sell it expensive..

Divay - I request no further comments from your side.  Let people who have genuine interest in buying decide whether they want to try ordering from outside India and see if all this guesswork on shipping and customs costs will work out, or go with this sale as stated. Why do I suggest silence ? Because I see no end to this. 

I am surprised no one checked and posted links to the same item on sale on the big 3 US forums (RCU, RCG and RR) for even better fire sale prices, just to "prove" your prices are high !

Do not forget this is the same poster who have preached a lot on  Shadman's radio thread, for so called cause of "helping fellow RCers who just jump seeing something fancy." So same people are repeating same thing what you call it non sense. ok it is non sense if it is done by some body else.


If a radio fitted inside a fuselage of plane can crash why not a engine out side it.

When cheap prices of radio else where, have no relevance in India  then why compare prices for a engine with prices on US forums,  I suppose most of the sellers on US forums RCG etc. do not ship to India. I am also surprised.

And you are missing the point again about US forums. The point is that posting links of items outside India does not make much sense in these type of local sales threads, which is what I stated earlier in the radio thread, yet Shadman HAD to dig up a price from outside India.  That is why I was being satirical about "why not post even lower prices from the US forums".  Anyways, these seemingly straight forward things seem outside the grasp of some.

For the record, I do believe Divay's comment about the receiver being possibly damaged was out of context, but at least he tried to point out another price within India.

BTW, let me know when you ALL are done exacting revenge. No hurry though... the weekend must provide ample free time to engage in this most fun / productive activity.

2. Radio was very badly mishandled and engine is just 4 flight old ok.

No misquote , poster him self have quoted prices of a US hobby shop. even the prices calculation was so much misleading which was corrected by other poster.

You might be referring to 'My' times ratings...That is long time ago  BTW look at the ranking of IIT for the past 10 for years... IITB and IITD have beaten KGP and K in ranking for long time now. And please don't be an part of this external worlds ranking of IIT esp if you have been part of it. an IITian should know that Insti's Dept are ranked not the institutes themselves...
