Divay I have been drooling over it and cursing myself since the day you posted it. Because a day before I had ordered a OS 30 Four stroke glow from Towers which has now reached till Guwahati.

Sandy, .46/.52 petrol engines are out, apparently with good performance, I have ordered some, will fix it on the spacewalker ( good test platform, can glide back from anywhere with a  engine cut), let us see how it performs,
If you Are not into meth, with the PIA of getting meth, gas is the way to go.
Honestly, I am addicted to the smell of meth, castor & soot, so I  am hanging on , a die hard meth engine fan.

i was actually planning to go for thunder tiger, but i have seen TT engines have overheating issues.. thats why i picked an OS.. In this regard i think ASP is amazing performance engine.. for pretty cheap price.. asp fs70 is Rs.7233 from RCD... why not to buy a new one than to pick up a second hand..  .... 7500 with shipping is not a bad deal .. but 5k is better for a TT (seEcOnd hAnd)...... moreover who knows how many crashes the engine has survived ???..  .... haha "NOT NEGOTIABLE" ..thats helps!!...

It is so interesting that sometimes, one has to take a bite of its own lesson given to others.... I guess you should think again on the advice of Shadnam. Even he got a OS 71 FS for Rs 4000 some 3-4 months back.  Rotor is selling 71 size OS FS engine for Rs 10,200, never to forget that OS is among highly revered FS engines, after Saito etc.

I would request other not to pull a sleaze on this thread like it happened to the other Radio sale thread. At the end, the seller is free to put forward its expectation. Buys can only decide if the price is reasonable or else look somewhere else. One may not covet the seller to its own price.

True, being civil about is the key, also one needs to see who is it that putting up things for sale, divay has been helping people for free, to get into this hobby, 7500 IMHO is not a bad deal at all.

ASP is nowhere close to what thuder tiger engines have to offer ... the price difference between the two NIB itself is above 100 USD...... so get your facts right .....

Also the engine that I have posted is just 4 flights old so you can consider it new

I have probably sold more items on this forum than you have purchased in your entire stint with the hobby and have never received a single complaint... so stop showing of your knowledge cause it seems like you are just reading and putting theoretical stuff on the forum .... boss get your hands acquainted with a remote prior to putting your cut copy past knowledge on the forum

hey divay .. i just wrote what i felt about the engine... i can't let u rob ppl on the forum by ur stuffed prices u see!! the price shud be 5-6 k.. (probably u can quote 6k -negotiable .. sounds good)  coz.. its a used stuff.. i know u have sold a alot stuff here earlier.. at what ever price u felt was right.. (some of them were definitely reasonable).  

Since its a used product it shud not be sold at that high price... comon u can see the all pumped prices in others sale n  then u criticize it to the limit.. .. what about ur own sale boss.. ??? u are no different.. no one does charity here.. So before mocking others sale.. Please MEND yours.. !!  :-\

And about crashing the engine.. if u remember u had doubted my receiver of under going a crash... (which is kept inside the airframe )... on the other hand ,engine is the most prone area of crash hit/bad landing thrashes.. give me one reason why i should not doubt the engine has taken beatings... any buyer would..  
More over thunder tigers spares are easily available in India.. .. incase the buyer needs to replace any part of ur engine.... lol!! I think I have all the right to intervene in ur thread..

I have been getting PMs from multiple people about these "For Sale" threads becoming "fish-markets", and people seemingly becoming gangs to extract revenge and settle old scores on others.  I am sorry to see that the forum that I am proud of as an achievement for 2 years of fairly hard work (not much money though) coming to this. 

Is this what RC is about ? I tell everyone who ask me why do you go the field, or why do you spend so much time on these things (most of the time, what I work on is not even my stuff), the first thing I answer is that I like the people I interact with on the field and off the field. It seems like man is no longer a "social" animal.

Take this thread for example.  Someone has a 75 4stroke engine from one manufacturer.  He stated the condition, posted pictures, and quoted an asking price.  If others have anything to say, it should be about another 75 4stroke engine from the same  manufacturer available locally at a better value.  I can even understand if someone posted details about a better brand (better as in widely accepted, a market leader) being available for similar prices or slightly higher value (making it a better "value" deal).

Instead, people have gone on all tangents.  This thread is NOT about which is the best engine, or which engine is value for money.  This thread is not about other sizes of engines available.  If anyone who has genuine interest in thread has questions about whether this is a good deal, let him ask.  But don't do "driving by shooting" type of comments on sales threads.

I am not taking sides with the seller in this thread, this applies to one and all (myself included), I hope anyone who knows me understands that much.  For the sanity and sanctity of the forum, I am going to delete comments from sales threads that I ("Idi Amin") feel that are neither 1) helpful in correcting factual errors in the sale post nor 2) helpful in pointing out CURRENT MARKET prices of the SAME (or very VERY similar) item. I request the moderators to assist me with this task.

So do we just delete the unwanted parts?

Nope, please let me know which ones cry out for being out of context.  I will take the blame for deleting them.

We have had heated arguments on the forum, and I have heard this "too much sale on the forum" angle many times before. Commercial activity will always be higher, since many/most of the core technical aspects have already been discussed.  Same is the case on many other established RC forums. 

The issue currently is people settling scores, and jumping into threads without following guidelines.  The guidelines are very clear for classifieds... if you have an alternative proposal, it has to be on the same item (or very very similar) and offer better value to the purchaser.  Otherwise I am going to delete responses, especially if the seller points them out.  We want the seller to get a decent/current market price, which should by default be reasonable to buyers also.  The idea should not be to discuss every alternative available in this world.  If that is the intention, open a separate thread on it, please don't do it on classifieds threads.

If everyone stopped and thought for a moment about what their post is going to really reflect before opening their mouths, I think everything will be fine.  It easy to say the forum is not working well, without realizing how each one of us have contributed to the said issue. I wish everyone spent a minute thinking what positive have they contributed to the forum recently, and things will fall in perspective.

Finally, I do feel this is just a short lived matter, and I expect this forum to be a place where people, especially beginners can get help.  End of the day, that is all what matters.

This is where brains have to be used.  Is the seller trying to sell the item at such a high price, that a buyer would be able to get a  better brand at similar prices ?  Then PROBABLY yes.  Otherwise, this sale thread is for the item being discussed, and not a general discussion about similar items.

Anyone is welcome to discuss engines in general on separate threads.  I find it funny that ASP engines have even earned the nick name "Another Serious Problem" over time, and my own experience with them have been less than stellar.  Should I open my big mouth in this thread about the sale of a TT engine ?  Now I would not prevent anyone from saying an OS engine of similar specs is available for only Rs1000 higher... that is a valid alternative, and a better value.

I say this again, if people post anything they find on Google just because "an engine is being discussed", then Idi Amin will find the "delete" button quite useful :(

That is a link to a 91 engine, at Rs.11950.  Where is the similarity (size,price) with what is on sale here ? What am I missing ?

Also, Anwar, I would like to point out something..... I may say that I have a 0s.46ax for sale for Rs. 3000 but what is the point If I do not have the product available that does not mean that the people who are selling the same for Rs. 6300 - Rs. 7000 are in anyway incorrect, I am sure Rotor would have had the product and sold the same for the above mentioned price, but the truth is that it is currently not availble for the same price....

It seems people do not even consider the basic fact that a .91 engine would likely be oversized for a plane that can take a .75.  And this is what I find perplexing. Plus, buyers have to spend 4 to 5 thousand more (too late in the night to do math... and I don't know if Rotor prices include tax etc) ! Unless there is clear indication that the price quoted by the seller is obscene which may trick newcomers, why make these kind of logic-defying suggestions ?

Divay - I request no further comments from your side.  Let people who have genuine interest in buying decide whether they want to try ordering from outside India and see if all this guesswork on shipping and customs costs will work out, or go with this sale as stated. Why do I suggest silence ? Because I see no end to this. 

I am surprised no one checked and posted links to the same item on sale on the big 3 US forums (RCU, RCG and RR) for even better fire sale prices, just to "prove" your prices are high !

And you are missing the point again about US forums. The point is that posting links of items outside India does not make much sense in these type of local sales threads, which is what I stated earlier in the radio thread, yet Shadman HAD to dig up a price from outside India.  That is why I was being satirical about "why not post even lower prices from the US forums".  Anyways, these seemingly straight forward things seem outside the grasp of some.

For the record, I do believe Divay's comment about the receiver being possibly damaged was out of context, but at least he tried to point out another price within India.
