I am not doubting your credentials and when I said what Divay would do if the seller had sent the Radio, I did not mean that You would have taken the radio and kept mum about the payment. I am sure you would have paid the seller and along with an apology for sending a falsified bank receipt. It all may look like a game now. But it is quite a foolish and dangerous thing to do. Just relax and think again.I am not insulting you I am trying to explain how things would look like to a court of law. When the seller received the false receipt You had given a very strong weapon to him which could be used against you. What would be your position if the seller filed a cheating case against you.He don't even have to send the radio to you to prosecute you. My first post in this thread is solely to caution you about taking the case to a court of law and what could happen if you do so. I hope you understand that.I tried my level best to explain my action and could not explain any more. Forgive me if I hurt your feelings.Sorry. I too learned my lesson. This thread is exploding with negative vibes... Anyways. For future, using paypal should be preffered for such kind of payments. The money can be retreived very easily through paypal in such fraud cases.

What I think is, why get into such troubles with the authorities...? What matters is your money is with you and everyone knows how to go about such a transaction now.

Anwar says that bank upon the customer feedback. But customer feedback is always filled in after the sale/purchase is over. In this case the person who was selling the Radio was almost new to the forum. The feedback system is also not fool proof. I can ask anyone to make an account on this forum and post a positive feedback for me even without a sale thread. Even I can can do it myself.

Even if you file a case, the accused will certainly raise the question that what so ever he did, if it was wrong, then why was he not banned or removed from the forum. The judge can always ask that what action did the owner of the website take against the accused.

To conclude, what everyone is looking for is a SINCERE APOLOGY + total explanation from the seller and an action by the admin.

Yes. I have tried. It all depends on the accounts. A personal account cannot has many restrictions. The reciever's account should also have some permissions to accept such payments. PayPal is universal. The sender and the reciever should be authentic (PAN number registered) users to avail all the vacilities.

Not really.  This is the core of eBay.  You have to look at the person's history, how long he has been selling etc.  Based on that you estimate the risk.  If you created another account and posted a positive review, the buyer should be able to see that also, by looking at who all posted feedback, and that their credibility itself is.  Remember that this is a long term process.

Even I think locking and putting this thread as a reminder in 'Buy - Sale' forum and banning Mr Star (for what ever symbolic reason) would be the   right conclusion to this thread. He would be anyway busy putting another of his evil plan on some other forum by now. May God provide him his bread and butter.
