Hello,
I am offering LASER CUTTING JOB WORK. Laser cut provides smooth and precise cutting of your designs. Some examples are given below. Currently I do Laser Cutting on 3mm-5mm of MDF Board. I am working on Carbon Fiber Sheets. The general cost starts from Rs5 per minute and varies from design to design. Cost for material seperate. Some examples of my laser cutting are given below.
Material: MDF Board
Thickness: 3.5mm
Type: Pine wood

Thank You
Regards

Hmm.... Cost starting at Rs5/min.....

How does one get to understand a rough estimate of what would the cost of a given plan and material?

its simple, the cost is directly proportional to the complexity of your design...
you can send me your designs, ill evaluate em and quote the estimate cost...

More often than not, it is the wing that requires precision cutting. The fuse can be hand cut, so I was hoping to figure this out, if we have a 20mm thick bio foam and wing measures 52 inch span with a 9 inch chord

Pankaj sir,

Wing Spar, Ribs, Fuse spar, ribs, mount etc need to be laser cut. All the the coverings (usually 2-3mm balsa ) could be hand cut using balsa stripper.

You don't use laser cutter for 'forming' Wing (like molded ones) - lasers are usually not used for that much thickness due to focusing/diffraction issues. Hot wire foam cutter with a metallic 'Rib section' former is more apt.

I am also eying for laser cutter..have  1 Watt laser diode, but need to work on the CNC itself. Meanwhile, I also lookout for Laser Cutting service in Bangalore to cut Balsa plan out of Coral Draw/PDF. AeroHam (Sanjay Sir) suggested one guy but never contacted him.

Has anyone already got Balsa cut from Laser guy in Bangalore ? Contact/rates would help!

Anam,
Would you be able to work on laser cutting if one were to send you hard copy plans?
What would be the charges then?

yes... i can... you can mail me the plans perefably in corel draw format or else in autocad format. if you are sending me in autocad format, then please send in DWG and DXF both. Send the full details of the material as well. thickness, quality, any company preferred... all of it. I will see the designs and then quote the prices accordingly.

Hi Anam

I think you misunderstood flyingboxcar's query.

can you laser cut from paper drawing's ?  i.e if we send you the plan on a sheet of paper only ?

I also am interested to know the above....

no... that would not be possible... then i have to copy the design... any problems or misscalculation in the design will eventually lead to a bad cutting work... and then it will be a waste... so ill preffer that you design it yourself on the computer and send me the designs... if you have problems designing in autocad or coreldraw, then you can design in any software you like and mention the lenghts of each side and i can convert it to my preffered format myself...

i guess that will be ok...?
