Hello All,
Just designed this Power Distribution Board as i was building myself a quad.
Giving it away with the belief that fellow DIY'ers will find it useful.
Just need OHP sheet to print the layout on (laser print), blank copper clad PCB and etch-ant (Ferrous Chloride or 2:1 HCl:H2O2).
The above 'raw materials' shouldn't cost more than INR 100 and you can make plenty of these with what you buy.

P.S - Beginner at PCB Fab. Any inputs/comments/concerns/questions are welcome!  Hats Off

EDIT - The layout is at the bottom of the 1st page. Scroll down! Also, the board dimensions are 50mm*50mm, scaled to A4 sheet size.

That was good.
Kindly tell about the thickness of the track and pad size. Which software? Eagle/express PCB?

 Hats Off

Thanks utkarshg13. Hats Off
Track is 2mm thick and pads are 6mm in diameter.
Did it on a 2D drafting software.... No Cad soft eagle or ePCB Wink

Looks OK Smiley Good for upto 10A max IMO. And that too depends on the kind of copper clad that is being used.

Utkarshg13, in the process of doing it. Shall upload pics by tomorrow evening.
LastRites, it would be very interesting to know about how you reached the '10amp' conclusion Head Scratching
Making mine out of 1oz copper PCB. Will be using this to power 25amp escs. Tinning the tracks will increase current capacity further.

Girish sir, this was possible beacuse of your inspiration. Still have your PDB! Thanks for the inputs Hats Off

25A seems to be very much for only 2mm thick tracks. I fear on such high current the PCB itself could get damage Head Scratching.
But, if it works, well and good Grin

http://circuitcalculator.com/wordpress/2006/01/31/pcb-trace-width-calculator/

Depends heavily on the sort of copper clad that is being used. Tinning must for 25A. Do one thing. Cut thick gauge single core copper wire and bend it to the shape of the pcb and solder directly to the board.

lastRites and utkarshg13, thanks for your inputs.

I have a prototype ready. Shall put it up and see how it does on the quad by this week.

Meanwhile, here are some more designs...  Smiley

You are welcome Smiley I have been working on an esc for quite some time now so I am forced to work with high current pcb traces. Since I have no plans to commercialize my design, I have concluded that soldering wires to the traces is the best way for me to increase their capacity.

Soldering wires is indeed a fantastic way out!
